ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Kye will be fine defensively but won’t offer the go forward capability of Behich, Bos or even Farrell. He’ll get panned for the performance and it will be because Arnold is asking him to be something he’s not.
I suspect you are right - but I do remember Monty trying him on the left years ago in the Academy and pushing him to get forward.

Wasn’t great when he did it in the A league so I can’t imagine before in the academy went a whole lot better. He’s a solid CB but doesn’t have that attacking instinct you need to see in a wide defender now.
Having listened to Arnie's presser it sounds like the Mexican RW is a concern and that may be why he is trying him at LB and not expecting him to push forward.

If you look at it as how you might set up against other high level opponents then it potentially makes sense. It’s not like Behich can get forward a whole lot if we’re playing the likes or France or even the Saudis and Japan in regional qualifying. But then you’d expect to see other changes in the way we move the ball around so we’ll see if that eventuates.

Interesting. Especially when a quick look at the Hearts forum shows them absolutely savaging Rowles over the last few weeks - it's as though the journalist is a mate of Kye's and wrote the article specifically to counter the exact accusations of Hearts fans. Can't win defensive headers - gets pushed off the ball too easily - can't play a forward pass with any accuracy.

The article would also have been better if he'd not referred to the Wallabies. I'm sure the Wallabies are a perfectly good team but making the last 16 at Qatar would have raised a few eyebrows.

Hearts supporters are idiots.

You don't have to be a genius to work out that their ultra defensive structures they have set up with since mid year is where the issues are coming from. It's why Garang had little to no help, there was little to no movement from the midfield.

I watched all the minutes he played. He made constant runs and never got the ball. It's as though they didn't like him. They certainly didn't deserve him.
