ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Great news.
We got Aaron's test results back today and it was a low grade (benign) tumour they removed. He will need no further treatment other than regular scans every 6 months in case of regrowth.
He is still in hospital however and has permanent loss of all peripheral vision in his left eye and blurred sight in both eyes (which should be temporary). He still has a massive headache with a 12cm scar with 19 stitches. He has lost several kilos since being admitted, but has started to eat better and can now walk short distances without losing his balance.

All going well he may be home Monday!

Fantastic. I had a good feeling about this today... it must be a huge relief for everyone involved,  and hopefully you can catch up on some of the sleep you must have lost

Thanks for asking.  :)

Aaron is doing very well considering what he has just gone through. We have to take him back to Sydney to see the Neurosurgeon on Monday (it's also when he will find out if he can play footy this year or not). So far he shows no ill effects from the surgery other than a major loss of vision in his left eye.

Took Aaron to see his neurosurgeon today and he strongly advised Aaron to never play any kind of contact sport. He may suffer a cerebral haemorrhage if he has a hard knock to the head by either a ball or another player. Needless to say he isnt too happy about it.

Best thing is that he is here with you mate - sad for him that he cant play a contact sport (assume that means cricket too?)

Golf makes a lot of $$$
