ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

</realist>  :p

I dunno mate .... impatient, impetuous, opinionated, irrational, unreasonable .... ?

Considering Sheffield United's history in regards to such things, I think realist is fair.  And also considering the GFC and all that poppycock....

Having said that, I sincerely hope none of that comes into play and it's underway as soon as humanly possible.  Will come in _very handy_ in the long term I would say.

the FFA's talking about building a set of essentially identical flat-pack stadia around the country holding 45k including 20k temporary seats that then get moved after the cup to be used on other stadia - i don't think it's ridiculous to wonder if one of those might wind up either at tuggerah or somewhere in gosford.

so we might do a little better than simply hosting a team for training, we might get games.

Everyones talking about hosting Brazil, or Italy, etc. Has anyone had the thought that if our facilities are good enough, the Socceroos might come into camp at Tuggerah? Could be ideal for them also?

The 'flat-pack' stadiums are boutique stadiums of 25,000 with 20,000 added for the World Cup. Sounds ideal for Tuggerah. The extra 20,000 seats go to the community after the event, hopefully with a proviso that we can call on them again to host a Grand Final!!!

possibly...i feel kind of bad, but I sort of would rather a foreign team...you know someone said before about their fans flocking here- would especially love to be able to drive 20 mins to see eg. Pato strut his stuff as opposed to Kantarovski (both should be good soon enough- especially pato who I really dont rate right now)

Can we pick teams we don't want ...

We won't need a flat pack stadium.

By 2018 we will already have our own modern stadium at the heaving metropolis of Tuggerah connected to Sydney,Melbourne,Canberra and Brisbane by a VFT network.

There will be an extra freeway to Sydney to compliment the existing and recently upgraded to 6 lanes each way F3 and with quick access to Somersby international airport.

Debate will be raging in the community whether the dying sport of thugby league should be allowed to continue playing out of the crumbling and unsafe Bluetongue Stadium in Gosford.

As their crowds are only a few hundred they will be allowed to stay for the time being.

Prime Minister Dibo will be busy welcoming all the overseas dignitarys to Australia whilst the greenies will be up in arms over the recent bylaws passed in parliament allowing hunters to shoot the increasing population of flying pigs!

;D

Arabmariner we won't need that freeway because we will be driving hover cars, back to the future style. Apart from that I don't see any problem with your vision ;)

You actually *want* trams?
a tram setup that did a loop from gosford to erina to tuggerah (perhaps with spurs to the entrance and terrigal) would be in insanely good idea, if it could be made to work. it'd get cars off the road, it'd boost mass transit capacity far above what buses can achieve and it'd make it more feasible for big stretches of the route to be host to commercial and other business development. it'd cost a lot, but with it we could afford significantly greater growth than without.

And when you fall asleep on it after a big night on the piss you won't wake up at Newcastle or Central.

Or both on the same night as I did a number of years ago!

I dunno... you could walk to maccas for a coffee and big breakfast then over to the centre of excellence and watch training. By the end of training club mariners would be opening for the day and you could start retoxication

LOL foot in mouth dibo. I live about 2km away from Tuggerah station. You'll be wishing you were up here too once they've built the stadium here  ;D
