ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Australian Football Stuff - not worthy of a thread

WSW has banned the RBB from their home game against Perth after the derby pyro and general RBB behavior

Sure the FFA were always an issue.and maybe Australians “just don’t understand football culture” But the tolerance for active support has gone drastically down hill since WSW came into the league. Furthermore the defence of active support culture against both right and wrongful criticisim by media and police became almost impossible to combat. How do you defend actual riots and mass brawls on the streets and in shops in Melbourne or Sydney? The old oh it’s just a couple of bad eggs defence does not cut it when you see dozens of people actively involved and the violence of football culture is historically so well documented and feared.

Everyone (all supporter groups) have greatly suffered as a result of the attempt to control/police this imo, but after some of the scenes I saw, i could never see it going any other way.

If they were African the Police wouldn't even mention it.

It’s the FFA not RBB trying to do it.
Apparently a WSW fan got the first part ‘who do we sing for’ but FFA have stopped the We Sing for Wanderers and are now trying to get it trademarked for themselves as a protection apparently.
Apparently it’s due very soon 6th of March I read and at that point it can be contested. I think that’s right.
RBB just pissed because it’s FFA but it doesn’t stop anyone saying the phrase it just means merchandise or any print it can’t be used without permission and possibly a fee

Dominic De Bossi reporting that NRMA Insurance, which has been the naming rights partner of the Wanderers since the club's inception, will sever ties with the club, pulling the plug on a sponsorship deal worth over $1 million per year.

"NRMA insurance will not be renewing its sponsorship of the Western [Sydney] Wanderers following the conclusion of the 2017/2018 season," an NRMA Insurance spokeswoman said. "We look forward to supporting the Wanderers through the remainder of the season, and wish the club success in the years ahead."

6 at SFC with the field east to west in front of the main stand. Interesting choice. It’s at least got food and pubs around but oval is awful. The derby will be setup north south so that will be horrible

God these clowns are pathetic. Good riddance. They simply don't get that they're actually the problem.
Look, it does sound like these recent measures are over the top, but when this mob continually promote the behaviours that put the game in a bad light - flares, balaclavas, etc....and when they're continually responsible for the team/club being disciplined by the FFA...well, what do you expect?
