ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

where'd you find out about this
Well, they had the Ustaše flag at the game - they were a Croatian fascist group allegedly responsible for murdering hundreds of thousands of Serbs, Jews and Roma (gypsys) during WW2.
The club allows it - says everything about them and why they can never be allowed into AL.
The other group has a flag that is effectively a nazi flag but without the swastica.

The Ustase collaborated with the Gemans in WW2 and committed many of the atrocities you mentioned. As a kid I worked in a factory in school holidays and there were Serbs and Croats there-some got on but the foremen usually separated the two groups and had them working in different sections of the place due to hostility between them.

Having said that SU58 ( formerly known as Croatia) has produced many fine footballers including some of our best Socceroos.

Our NPL 1 Croatian club here in Canberra sings a wonderful victory song with the line "We're here to shank you're children and rape your women"

I have a number of Croatian friends who don't play for the club any more because of the culture and because their players are just as eager to injure the opposition as they are to score a goal or win a game.

There are many fantastic people of all origins involved in our sport, but unfortunately their good work is diminished when mainstream soccer hating media get the chance to highlight actions of this fringe element.

I worked a year in marketing for Sydney United in 97/98. Worst year of my professional career. Any initiative proposed would roundly be met with “we are a Croatian club. We have no intention of including non Croatians in the club”. It was interesting times as it was also the David Hill era.

Other than that the team won the comp but lost to Brisbane in the grand final. The side was unbelievably good.
