West Sydney and a second Melbourne team are the best bet at the moment. Although i have to say, canberra are quite impressive with their passion for a team.

I agree that a second Sydney and Melbourne teams are the most likely, however I still think that it should be one team per city.

I voted for the Gong, and for Tassie. I think Tassie/Melbuorne/Adelaide would be an interesting three way derby...much like us with Scum and Sydney.

The Wolves were by all reports a formidable force in the NSL, and if they can recapture that now they could again be a formidable force.

And Tassie because they apparently do have a reasonable cashed up venture trying to get in.

I agree that a Western Sydney team would spell the end for SFC. And that would be bad for the league.Maybe SFC should move to West Syd Their crowds would go up dramatically, even if they weren't winning, because people would be able to get to the games.

I don't think moving Sydney FC would be a success.They would alienate the support they have at the moment and the people in the west would reject them in much the same way as the central coast rejected a rebadged Manly RL team.

A second Sydney team will attract real fans who have never been to an a-league game.

On the bling forum they shopwed a map for population density in sydney. The most dense population is in the city. In the west there is dense populations, but smaller and more spread out

It's obviously not based on the place itself.I mean take the Gold Coast for example.I think everyone wants them in for the away trip.But Canberra?? ???

Bruce Stadium as the sun goes down and the temperature drops 15C ... then drive, and drive, to find .. everything closed after the game ... what's not to like?

As a frequenter of the Illawarra Premier League in winter ... lot's of potential if they get it right this time.

I hate using the American term, but Western Sydney is a no brainer. As others have pointed out, this is the heartland of Football in this country with massive participation rates and the greatest nursery for Socceroos. Have a look at the 06 WC squad and see where most of our first team played junior Football.

They will have crowds up there will MV and will create a massive derby with the choppers. Potentially the biggest game in the HAL. As dibo said it will create extra media attention. Remember the SMH and Murdoch's Sydney tabloid are read in the west as well. Not to mention the extra subscribers/viewers to Fox in the west.

It seems so obvious, I'm suprised by some of the comments on here against a Western Sydney club. It can't happen soon enough.

I like Canberra

Nice drive if the company is right, everything is close, its cold (i hate the heat) and it would be another awesome away trip with a few busses going down

Plus its the opposite direction to Newcastle, how can that be a bad thing?
