Just gained a 2:2 draw which is too less if you want to get promoted...

Mintal and Charisteas (in the 90th minute) scored and Pinola missed a penalty...

We played Mainz away yesterday night - and lost 2:0...can't say anything about that match just they were 1:0 behind after 5mins and got the 2:0 in the 89th minute.
Neither Spiro nor Vido played.

Hopefully, you are performing better tonight.

I don't know what is wrong.
I even don't know what was going on in the last weeks but I didn't get good news. it's all about chaos...

Are you saying that you don't win tonight?!

Back in Germany it is not fun reading the newspapers regarding the teams' performance.
Another loss in a homematch - this time against Duisburg which relegated with us.
Spiranovic played 90mins and Vidosic came on after 70mins.

On Sunday we have to play Ahlen away and I hope it will get better...

I'd like to thank everyone for the good time I had when being with the Marinators. Keep on supporting the Mariners  :eek:verhead:
Was nice meeting you and I am pretty sure we will meet again :)

got at least a 1:1 draw at the away match in Ahlen.
Spiranovic played 90mins, Vidosic 4mins. Seems like Vidosic gets more and more match time as this was the 2nd match in a row where he came in.

we still have juut 6 points which meanstaht we are at the lower part of the league table.

hoepfully, the team will do some improvements during the up-coming FIFA match break.

Tonight is the Annual General Meeting of FCN.
I am quite excited what will happen tonight as the fans are really angry regarding the last performances. The team will be there tonight.
Furthermore, it seems that the manager lied at the fans concerning money and finance stuff.
This would be very interesting to see and hear but I can't attend that as I am not a member...

How did the manager lie? what did he say?

Well...
We used to be a club with a lot of debts. To survive our president got his own, private capital into the club. We used to get the license to play in the Bundesliga just under restrictions.
As Bader, our manager, came to us in January 2004, he focussed on getting rid of all the debts.

At last years general meeting he announced that we were debtless.
After the relegation this year we had to fulfill a restriciton that we need 10million Euros out of transfer to get the license for Bundesliga 2. That was the first time the fans realised that sth is wrong with the numbers Bader gave us. Why do we need a transfer plus if we are debtless?!

This year's balance sheet looks good at the first glance. We earned 60,7million Euros and spent 59,3. The result is a small plus. And Bader announced that year that we are debtless for the first time since a lot of years...Haven't we been debtless last year?!

Moreover, we are all wondering where the extra money we gained through the UEFA Cup and the sale of Misimovic (5million ) has gone? Considering that extra money, the surplus we made is very little....
Someone has asked that at the meeting but Bader didn't give a real answer.
He also said that he still couldn't understand why we were relegated....and they, the board of directors and the executive committee, still colour the current situation...

interesting times - so no real news, just more questions?

it sounds like there's still significant debt floating around - that's the only explanation i can think of that doesn't involve embezzlement etc.

is the club privately owned, owned by shareholders or a sort of members' cooperative (so the member own the club)? depending on the structure of the club the supporters might be able to force the club to open its books, and show what's actually going on. you'd have to call an extraordinary general meeting or something most likely.

It's neither of the possibilities you mentioned. The club belongs to no one.
It is a special German construct. We are a registered club (in the register of associations) with a board of directors and a executive committee. The manager and the head of commercial department are managing the club whereas the president just chairs it.
The members just have the opportunity to elect the executive committee; that's all they have to say.

I know that the balance sheet is published in the members paper which they get 4times a year. But I don't know how detailled it is.
We have short term liabilities of 10million and had to build an accrual due to the upcoming trial with Hans Meyer who sued us. But we can't figure out what these short term liabilities are as we just get to see the number.

The team has attended the general meeting but according to some people who have been there they didn't get what the criticism was all about. It seemed that they were a bit bored and didn't understand the 'problem' the fans have with the current situation. Don't know if this is true but I could imagine it...

i bet there's some way for the members to be able to force the club to open up its books - but not knowing anything about german corporate law, i've no idea how you'd do it.

it sounds like either corruption or gross incompetence, either way you want it exposed to the light.

There probably is a way to see the sheet. But I don't know the charter as I am not a member. But maybe I should become one...

Anyway, the team is in a trainings camp at the moment for 3 days to work on the basics as our coach has said...we will see if that works...

I am going to attend the first home match since round 1 tonight. We are playing Freiburg who have 10 points more than us.
Fortunately, Spiranovic came back to Nrnberg on Wednesday so he will play tonight.

Can't say that much about the match but I hope that it won't be as worse as it was while I was overseas.

Maybe you'll be the lucky charm needed, Happy.

Good lock tonight. I hope Spiro plays. He is a star of the future in terms of Aus players.
