ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Where will you be playing in 2009?

Does any premier league clubs need a super league level keeper this season. Have been let go by lightning this year. To late to find find a club in higher competition as they have all selected their teams. ( bit harsh i reckon )

Hi Wardy sent you a PM hope you get a chance to call soon. Cheers

Hi Wardy, sorry to hear that, if your still looking for a rep club playing state league football then call Penang FC, they are still looking for half a dozen senior players and good rewards and incentives to boot, great set up for the right players.

Just recevied this via email.  Thought i'd post it to make others aware (if you care that is lol).

Hi Murray,

Last night at approximately 7pm a Council officer witnessed and
approached a coach from xxxxxxxx.  Approximately 30-40 men were
involved in organised training activities (out of season) on xxxxxxxxxxxx.

Any activities or training by winter codes is not permitted on Council
grounds as all grounds are allocated to summer codes October through to
March.

An invoice for out of season unauthorised usage will be raised for the
sum of $300.00.

Please ensure all activities of this nature on Gosford City Council
grounds cease immediately and clubs seek alternate venues such as
schools or private grounds.

Any future incidents will incur higher fines and risk their club's
ground allocation for the season.

As you are aware, under the Sportsground Management Strategy, pre-season
training is prohibited at any Council sportsground.  Pre-season training
is available at passive area's commencing from 1st week of March - the
alternate training area's will be offered in the next few weeks to all
associations.  Passive pre-season allocation must be applied for and
approved by Council.

Can you please advise ALL clubs by using grounds out of season and/or
unauthorised, they are placing their ground allocation for pre-season
and seasonal purposes in jeopardy and will be reviewed accordingly.

Regards,
Jodi Clark
Acting Co-coordinator Active Open Space
Sports Liaison Officer | Open Space & Leisure services
Gosford City Council

Sent to CCF Secretary's

Please remind all teams/coaches and managers that usage of any area is NOT PERMITTED for training until confirmed by either CCF or the council involved.

Wyong Council has advised what areas are available--this was sent to clubs Friday--please note that usage will be based on a "share" basis and you could have other teams or codes also using the same passive area.

Gosford City Council-have already issued fines for teams using grounds..$330! plus also the threat of the entire club being allocated any passive areas. Lists of passive areas will be advised to CCF shortly.

Until then, Indoor centres and Beaches seem to be the best option. If you are using a beach then please ensure you're not disturbing other users.

ALSO-Sanction forms for these events will b erequired and will only cover players that are registered with your club/CCF.

we have similar things down here in sydney.

we generally just have kickarounds not sanctioned or recognised by the club and therefore also outside the cover of club/FNSW insurance. but in this way, the club's not touched, it's just a bunch of friends having a kick.

Gosford Council are the biggest joke of all time.

"Approach a school" don't ask Erina High School, council is doing that up and it looks 12 months from completion, gee the school must be pleased. Looks like another Oznam Oval project 15 years to finish? Is it ready for 2009.

Compared with what Wyong did with Kanwal Gosford should hang their heads.

I'm moving down to Woy Woy in about 8 weeks. Who's good to sign up for?

I'm 25, medium fitness, but haven't played football since school...primary school that is.

Sorry Countryhick that was a open invitation to anyone half decent....I saw that you were 25.

BTW I find Soutern Ettalong the best spirited of the three Peninsula clubs whenever we play them.

Countryhick - I played All Age at Woy Woy for a couple of seasons before moving to the other end of the coast and found the club to be ok.
I think their rego fee's are now probably one of the highest out of the other clubs on the coast though for some reason.

My brother has played most of his junior football for Southern Ettalong for about 10 years now and it seems to be a pretty good setup.

Your other alternative if you wish to travel about 20km and play for a larger club is Kincumber. My bro played a season there a few years back, and my wife has just finished up with them after playing with them for 3 seasons. Good club setup and structure.

Anyway I guess it just comes down to the individual. Pick a name out of the hat and if you dont like the club after a season, then try another  ;)
