ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Week 4 vs Shitney FC

I thought they looked far more dangerous with the old guys off and the youth on. Bughagiar has bulked up and is maturing in his play. If he played the youth from the start we'd have had to be way more cautious in attack. LeFondre looked tubby and tired as he was coming off.

Our boys look hungry and fit. I am a bit concerned about the number of injuries we're picking up, maybe there was same gamesmanship there but it is highlighting some possible squad depth weakness.

Still buzzing from a huge win though, need to watch that first 20 mins on the replay. Fantastic to watch live, they were so dominant.

Moresche came over to the fans at the end and signed a couple of items for the kids, what a great guy. Big season ahead!
Oh they were clearly better. Kanmsoba vs Roux was always going to be a nightmare. But that’s my point. Can Corica drop his star imports and keep his job? And can he play his tired looking star imports and keep his job? Looks grim to me.

They should have refreshed the squad, they were gunning for Marcos but then decided to go with a geriatric Bobo instead. Madness. But I’m glad.

I'm not saying anything immediate. Monty has always be very loyal. 12 years with Blades. The involved with us until now (albeit playing for 2 seasons with Wolves - but still connected with the club here).

I just can't see him eventually ending up anywhere other than Sheffield United if he left here. He has spoken about being the manager there in the future.
Given that Sheffield Utd would see themselves as a top tier championship club, I can't see him being able to go from managing us to managing them.

I agree with most of the comments above and that he still wants to be involved in the academy shows he is invested in the club here and not just CV building. But he has gone to the trouble and expense of getting a UEFA pro license and I assume that's because he is aiming for a managerial career in Europe, not just so he can manage SUFC (albeit that might be his dream job).

So at some point (and hopefully that is a long way off) he has to think about his career - that might be going to establish himself in the UK by going to a club in the (shark infested) lower tiers or being lured by an Aussie club that makes him a head-turning financial offer and the chance to CV build by being resourced to compete consistently for trophies.

Yeah - unlikely to jump directly - but as an assistant or in charge of their U23 side as an apprenticeship so that they can see him first hand.

Sheffield see themselves as an EPL club!! At best he might go there in an assistant or academy role (if he wants to live in that shit hole)

Keeping the seat warm for Hutch maybe?
Watching very closely to see how Hutch goes at El Paso.

His first head coach job, I think.

Sheffield or Central Coast... that's not even a conversation. He's not going anywhere and we're only about 5 games into his first season as head coach. Calm down, plenty of shit will go south yet this season for him to show his true capabilities, he's going well but he's not the messiah just yet.

I'd love to be a fly on the wall at one of his sessions.

Even a complete football genius like me might learn something.
