Lucky Us.The assumption (from me among others) was that there had to be something missing as the number was too low to be feasible. Turns out it's really cheap.

ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!
If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.
ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Interesting to note in an article re: BrookvaleThe assumption (from me among others) was that there had to be something missing as the number was too low to be feasible. Turns out it's really cheap.
Ironically, the Mariners interest in playing at Brookvale Oval has emerged just days after The Daily Telegraph reported Sea Eagles fans will be asked to pay an increased entry fee to watch home games this season.
An infrastructure levy by Warringah Council, who own Brookvale Oval, will bump up the cost of admission by $1. The ticket price increase stems from a $25,000 rise in the rent price to play at the run-down suburban ground.
I thought Brookvale was giving us a mega cheap deal so they could gain a government funded upgrade because they could then claim it was a multi use stadium.Interesting to note in an article re: Brookvale

Implies that it's near on impossible that our rental deal for the game at Brookvale could be less then $7500 at Grahame park.
Sorry, you did mean "it's that the club just doesn't cater for this segment well", didn't you?The club may think that by pursuing their "northern corridor strategy" that they can fix this. Anecdotally, though, the reason they struggle here is not there aren't people that want to get involved, it's that the club just cater for this segment well. Unless they invest in more staff to look after corporates that is always going to be the case. Chasing the Northern Sydney areas is only going to put existing staff, who obviously can't cope, under more pressure.
Thanks - exactly what I meant - fixed nowSorry, you did mean "it's that the club just doesn't cater for this segment well", didn't you?![]()
Thanks, but perhaps as an indication of just how inept CCM are
The stadium rent at 7,500 changes my mind... How the f##k. do we not make money
I just posted it on the CCM twitter feed. Maybe everyone with twitter accounts should do this as well. We need to do something to stop this nonsense.
I found this part interesting:
"And the locals have fed the Mariners for the last 10 years. Average home attendance over the decade is about 9500. Here's a sample list of European clubs who do about the same, or worse: Monaco, Evian, Genclerbirligi, Zulte Waregem, AIK Stockholm, Heracles Almelo, PEC Zwolle, Lillestrom, Aalborg, Getafe, Grasshoppers Zurich, Lierse, Panathinaikos, Vitoria de Setubal, Boavista."
Thanks, I am a bit relieved, and red faced. That's an old link.
The corporate brochure under the "Corporate" menu on ccmariners.com.au (after it eventually loads - why use Flash when a PDF would suffice???) lists the following rates:
Maybe part of the problem is the lack of alignment generally.
Support sorta sits in a few different places between three places:
There isn't one voice. It'd be good if there were.
- this online community - including a lot of the original Marinators
- the Yellow Army, which is much more Facebook and Twitter driven
- the Official Supporters Club
You could probably add Central Coast Mariners members to this list
