ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Treble Winners vs Ufukers

I was at the game.OK first half but poor marking and tracking for their goal.In the second half too many errors-losing the ball in our defensive third, mishit passes, etc.Segecic took his chances well for FC ,especially the last one which was a cracker.

We never really troubled their keeper.Kuol is so hot and cold but his first touch is not up to standard and he had trouble keeping his footing( as did many players on both sides).Wilson made one exciting run down the right wing but his cross was wasted as no one really exerted themselves to get into the box.

We don't have the personnel or fire power to make the six this year unless we get some strong reinforcements in the window but this is unlikely.

Yeah I stopped watching before the end for the first time since the dark years. (Admittedly 93+mins, needed another glass of Prosecco because the first one wasn’t working)

It's been going on for a lot longer than a few weeks

It's complacency, he's got a new missus, he's won 2 championships, a premiership and a continental trophy. He's complacent, he starts every game cos he's still got that 'aura' of being the 'brick wall of gosford'. He needs a reality check, no one is guaranteed a place in the first 11.
His partner is not a new missus, they have been together for quite a while. Certainly the whole of last season and maybe even the season before. I don’t know what’s going on with him something‘s wrong that’s for sure.

How do you plan to pay them out?
You’ve missed the entire point, Rich did pay out a couple players Monty no longer wanted, dog shit transfers were found for the others. Why do you think DWH trained for an entire season when Jacko didn’t want him. Rich didn’t want to pay him out. ie; had already cut back his spending on the club by that point.

Embarrassing.

We simply don't have the cattle.

Only 2 positives for me. Sainsbury played well and is starting to show his quality and I thought our passing game was at times crisper, quicker and more accurate. We did move the ball well for periods.

Defense was appalling.

Big Kuol fan, he was very poor in this game. Fejaio was hopeless and well below standard.

Let's hope whatever is going on in the back office gets sorted out soon and once the window closes we are able to settle.

With the current injury list and a performance like that I'm not optimistic about making the 6.

That’s not how that played out. DWH was offered a mutual termination (whereby we would have had to have paid out his contract, or at least an agreed sum), but he chose to stay.

Edmo came in January, arguably when rich actually started cutting back behind the scenes. Feijao arrived this pre season when rich really did cut back. You know that.
Rich was not making the huge cut backs you seem to think. We hired a number of office staff, promoted some others, and renewed/extended other football department contracts on more $$ between January and July.

The mountain bike Doco showed RP working with the football dept on improving facilities before the GF.

You can move players cheaply or at no cost by suggesting that their contracts will not be renewed at the end of the season, and that they would probably do better to agree to a mutual termination and pick up a deal in SE Asia or the NPL in Jan. Unfortunately at present it appears that the players one would think fall in this category have more than this season on their contract so it would cost the club money or keep them on the books like DWH.
