Well, did they? No. Jacko said the same f**king thing and followed it up with saying “they either start doing it or, you know, the windows opening up”
And whats wrong with that? Nothing IMO. Shit needs to change. Jacko sets the team up to grind out results because he knows, we know and he’s quite open about it. We do not have the same quality we did before. Our team needs to work hard and become a genuine unit. We did that in the first half, the only genuinely shit player in that time frame tonight was Brian. We did get worse when the subs happened. It’s a simple fact. I also do not believe jacko has lost the dressing room. He looks determined as ever to set shit straight and you can see the exact players that are on board with it.
How much scope did they really have to make an impact? I don’t recall seeing anything the subs either did or didn’t do that made me wish the player they replaced was still on. I just don’t understand the logic of giving the subs shit when the main squad wasn’t getting it done.

Sure it's been mentioned around and l now have to agree that it's really looking more and more like Jacko coasted through last season on Monty's well built, already established solid team and once he's been in charge and having to make the decisions, things have gone downhill. Arnie to Moss deja vu

Nah. That's a lame comment Josho. We were already having a poor pre-season last year before Monty bailed.

This year we lost/sold ALL of our best players......you think Ange/Monty/Pep would be getting results with our piss weak squad??

Simply getting worse as the season goes on.

Jacko wants consistency but he is chopping snd changing a lot too. The players are letting him down but i think he might be trying to many changes. The players need a plan A sometimes to get their consistency and confidence and then we change like last year.

I actually thought we were going to dick a win when SFC weren’t doing anything with the possession and then we fell Apart

SFC have played 3 games this week and us once a week. We should not be fatigued

We didn’t get worse.

It’s a common theme in football matches that at 1-0, 2-1 etc the loosing team has to go for it and the game opens up.

It can go one of 2 ways and usually ends up in favour of the team that already has the flow and confidence.

Substitutes will always be said to have not much impact if we can’t get the f**king ball to do anything with it.

Brandtmann, Ngor, Eames, De Lima, Durate, Theo have all had their one or two shining moments coming onto score a goal in the ACL or league but as discovered this is short lived if we can’t find a distinct style or consistent source of assists or build up play to help them.

With the current setup it seems we can beat some low teams and get some draws with top teams but every 3rd week we likely to end up like tonight.

But lack of energy from subs is a bit of a deflection as they can run around like a headless chook and and still not get a foot on the ball.

Probably post match anger/disappointment but this drop off can't just be put down the loss of last season's players. Tactically things look off, off field distractions, squad disenchantment, ownership etc. Would love to know what the solutions are coz l don't want us to go back to what it took 7-8 years to get out of.

The only one that didn’t have scope for impact was young Eames. The other 3 were almost invisible and had ample time to affect the match, theo had a 7.1 rating on fotmob (I know, not the best gauge) but nevertheless, Ngor had zero impact to follow him and looks so far out of his depth each time he comes on now. Was a good experiment to try but I’d say hooroo there. Brandtman was the same but in his defence he’s actually had impact in multiple games off the bench this season. Wilson looked energetic but was so f**king weak to allow Segecic to get a shot away for his 3rd.

Is Kaltak actually going in January and has checked out?

Or is he having problems with the Mrs and his mind elsewhere?

And Jacko needs to understand that his players still need to boot it sometimes.

A lot of this is on Jacko for not understanding his players and current situation, I’m sure he means well but you can clearly see the backs have been told to play through the press to get on otherwise of it for a break, but our counterattacking football is shit and we are not quite there with pace and confidence or passing.

A lot has gone on in Vanuatu the last few weeks

The refereeing was way too inconsistent.
It was like the referee discussed with Sydney at half time what he would let go
Definitely was the 12th man for Sydney

I agree about your disappointment with Ngor overall but I felt tonight when we did have the ball we didn’t really give the subs much chance to have an impact. Yes they got some time but what good is it when you have 2 or 3 players at most attacking 5+ ?

As it is all too often we were invisible in the midfield today. Maybe it’s the tactics, maybe it’s the cattle, probably a bit of both but it really kills us.

Disagree on Wilson’s tackle though. Any more and he just pushes Segecic over and you’re cursing that instead. That was just very well done by him.

You on the drink mate? You expect Capt and Coach to slag off individual players? Tesco's comments were ill advised but not incorrect.d
I don't expect them to name names. I'm saying that, as captain or coach, why would you publicly single out subs when the whole team was garbage

I'm not saying the subs had an impact. They were highly unlikely to in light of how the rest of the game went

Kaltak had a much more negative impact than any of the subs tonight. And has for weeks.

It's been going on for a lot longer than a few weeks

It's complacency, he's got a new missus, he's won 2 championships, a premiership and a continental trophy. He's complacent, he starts every game cos he's still got that 'aura' of being the 'brick wall of gosford'. He needs a reality check, no one is guaranteed a place in the first 11.
