On the bright side the kids are playing beyond expectations and we will have a great season next year...

I was thinking this during the game. We have a great bunch of kids that is kind of going unnoticed because of our lacklustre season. De Lima works his socks off for the team and has quality, Brandtman works hard and has had some big moments, out of the team at the moment but still a great prospect, Scicluna finaaaally getting into the team and is serious quality. Everyone will see that clear as day soon. DPC learning on the job but his natural elite shot stopping is a good starting block. New boy Faisal imo could become our new Silvera. Ofcourse Migz is our current golden boy of our teenage bunch coming back into the fold soon. Then clearly Haine Eames is a serious talent, could be anything he wants to be going forward. And then the boys that are close but not featured yet… Sambrook and Paragalli.

I get that we’re all pretty disappointed with how this seasons going, plenty of moments of anger and frustration. Definitely spiralling around here sometimes. But it ain’t all doom and gloom folks.

Until we sell them. Who else are we going to be selling end of season? Isn’t that how we survive? We don’t have a bunch of players that are going to go overseas and bring us big money.. we are going to need to sell the kids 😳 if we can even do that, not just lose them to other clubs.

I reckon Paull will be sold

They can't sign overseas until they are 18 I believe.
Expect none of them to sign deals so they can leave on a free and pocket a bigger signing on fee.

Didn't defend very well for equaliser
Lost his man and let Natta out jump him despite being the taller player
Compared with the 2 experienced defenders who put a rookie GK under unnecessary pressure which lead to the corner in the first place.

And kaltak shanking the clearance and keeping everyone onside for the first.

He's comfortably our best defender on form at this moment in time. But I get you have an agenda.

I'm hoping we sign these young boys, if not already, for the next 2 seasons. Then we will have something to sell maybe at the end of next season. Financially we will have to survive a different way next year.

Paull is standing watching his man Natta give assist to Rose for first goal
Paull actually doesn't clear corner with his head - poor header straight to edge of box instead of away to safety
Kaltak blocks shot with his thigh and goes to unmarked Natta
Paull didn't stay with his player until danger passes
Paull looks good at times and is improving but he has to accept to be held accountable as well

Our youth is great. The pipeline continues.

Our biggest glaring issue is our visas right now, they should be reliable starters and game influencers. Out of Edmo, Kaltak, mcCalmknt, Felajo and Doka, only 1 of them is consistently playing to starting A league standard right now, let alone influencing games.

The kids need strength around them, but at the moment it’s kids like Paull, Eames and Di Lima who are leading the way with Doka.

All our defenders, indeed most of our players are not operating at the level they should be (including our captain who seems a lot slower these days).

The bright spot is the teenagers. I'm including DPC in that in spite of the Izzo type wall setting and not trusting his wall and his last game. All youngsters will make mistakes - his are more obvious because of the position he plays. Nathan (who is 21 gets a pass mark - but not much more because of his relative youth - but he needs to be more consistent). He should not get the leniency of 16-18 year olds.

Actually Paull wins the header, doka dogs the challenge on the edge of the box, Paull has positioned to cover Adams on the left. Sainsbury has pushed out to no man's land - marking absolutely nobody - and Brian has held ground 5 yards behind. Ironically if kaltak had pushed out it's a regulation save from DPC. Sainsbury nearly kicks nata in the head trying to recover. Brian is keeping rose onside and should have done better with the block/clearance.

He definitely needs to do better on the second, even with kaltak bumping rose into him at the point of his jump. Doesn't change the fact that there shouldn't have been a corner in the first place. That's 100% on Brian and Sainsbury.

Happy for him to be accountable for genuine errors, but you constantly tag him as at fault when clearly others are much more culpable.

Adams was not Paull's player in the set piece.
It's a matter of opinions. That is why we love football.
You blame Brian and Trent. I blame Paull
We can always find reasons to justify our opinions
