DPC may have kicked the ball out for the corner but the experienced heads of Sainsbury & Kaltak have to take the lead there and thump it, both had chances to do so.

I don’t understand why we are so intent on playing from the back when CM is a weak point for us & we have two very tall forwards who can scrap up top in the air.

Especially when we're up by one with ten minutes left. Too much fancy stuff inviting danger on ourselves. Just clear it!

That’s on Jacko again.
Especially if winning and throwing it away.

Can’t tell young (or nervous) or non confident players to play out from back like that when other team is coming at you chasing the game.
It’s different when your feeling your way into a game and other team not pressing you yet.

And very little tactical fouling which other teams are extremely good at and we are not willing to slow the game down and foul in their half.

Should have kicked it for a 40/20 then blocked them in their half and nailed them in their.

I do think we are a bit harsh on DPC. Yes, he has given away two leads this week (that would see us sitting equal 6th), but he has also made some good saves, particularly in this game. The Jets still outshot us by 2 and had 3 more on target.. The situation should have been dealt with a lot earlier in that instance - and you can go back to the first half where Sains and Kaltak were both too causal with the ball in defense and neither of them did anything to address this during the game. Could see a mistake coming a mile away. And Lets not forget our second goal also came from a keeper howler, from a more experienced keeper…

We have improved in the last few games, but we just need a big win to go on with I think, which I was hoping would be tonight. Since Kaltak has gone into being the centre of the 3 at the back it seems to be the way to go. We are playing more positively in the last few weeks and creating a few more chances, as well as players understanding the changing formation a lot better than the first few weeks when it was a little chaotic. The first few weeks it seemed that our only route forward was get it wide and cross it in, but we have improved that and seem to be having more overlapping runs and ball carrying through the midfield - as well as balls from the back 3 into the middle 2.

Faisal coming in has been a big win and seems to be settling in well. Feijao was a bit of a momentum killer today, as we started the second half a lot better from an attacking POV. Where is Brandtman? He should have been the one coming on in that situation. Edmo will continue to start I think, though Kuol looked alright this game. Hopefully losing his spot will be a good shock.

A must win in Perth next week.

Agree with this one hundred percent. We were 2-0 up and dominant and we parked the bus at home versus an inferior side.

That invited pressure on DPC and the back line. He is only a few games in his professional career and it was an unfair ask on him.

Could be worse. We could have had the scum keeper.

Both male and female keepers for the scum made howlers today. Good see consistent club wide training standards

We have 3 left wingers and some how we had to put in the bloke on a working holiday visa.

Faisal was never going to be ready for 90.

2-1 was probably the only time Edmo and Koul should play together.

Head up DPC. We would not have been up 2-0 if it wasn’t for you. That’s the life of a keeper.

I know everyone wants to win and he is playing professional sports and open to criticism but boy they forget how bad the Pav was quickly

Frustrating result, but one of the better nights in Bay 16 atmosphere wise. It was pumping for the full 90 minutes and even was good for the women’s game. I wouldn’t call it a tifo, but I and some mates made the ‘3 message banners’ together plus a few other ones for the fence. Appreciate all the nice comments and a huge thankyou to all who helped to set it up. However I’ve just seen this on Twitter. I’ve never heard of this competition (Singapore Soccer Sixes) and it doesn’t come up in the Newcastle Jets trophy cabinet list, but apparently they won it in 2013, which would make my third banner unfactual. Can someone please assure that it is just a Mickey Mouse cup that they won and not to be taken seriously so I can sleep tonight? Cheers.
