ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

The Socceroos thread.

That was with 6 visa players. He is another Rudan. Can only win if he has the strongest squad. Adds nothing at all to improve players or the team.
He had nowhere near the strongest squad in that ACL campaign.

Agree he doesn't improve players but the one thing he is reasonably good at is getting the maximum out of average players.

That ACL squad had cole, golec, topor, haliti, hamill, Appiah, mullen, santalab, bridge and sotirio in it. Solid pros but he got the best out of them so the team was much greater than the sum of its parts.

They only had 3 foreigners in the final team - Saba, Poljak and la Rocca. Shinji and polenz had left at the end of the group stage (preseason window).

He's the interim coach you have when not having an interim coach - given we have 2 weeks to the next window.

He's available now, knows the Australian game, and is in all likelihood a lower cost than a foreign coach.

Yes misread that. I was talking about their premiership win.

Was on big money at Victory
It's all relative - 700k at vuk is big for the pub comp but not in international terms.

Venables got £400k in 96/97 and Hiddink was on base of $800k with $2m in bonuses (1 for qualifying and 1 for knockout round).

Southgate was on about £6m to manage England.
