ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

The Socceroos thread.

Not pretty but job done. Played some nice passing but not really threatening.

Lewis goal was key to settle everything down and break the duck.

Not sure Kye will keep his spot with Poppa

Having said that - definitely looked better last night than the previous two games.

Part of that would be the opposition, but even just the players seeming to have a bit more license to (very) occasionally take the game on (or picking players who will).

I didn't think so. The 5 man defence looked clunky and it seemed only a matter of time before we conceded on the counter. Attack wise it was only when McGree came on that we semeed to show anything.

Unconvincing performance. Why play Gauci over Ryan. Neither are playing. At least Izzo is playing - even in a lesser league.

I agree, Arnie’s team would also have beaten China and that game should not have been as hard as it was. Deng was the biggest failure other than the line up and set up.

Not so sure Arnie's team would have won that. The players weren't playing for him and it showed.
Can't see him playing 352 against Japan.
4411 and hope for a point.
Yengi is back so Duke can get in the bin. Ditto Deng.
Bos and McGree to start please

Poppa might be the right coach for Japan if he had more time to work with the defense
Well I think he has enough evidence not to play Deng. It will be interesting as I suspect we are well and truely going to park the bus. Then we will make a stupid mistake passing it around the back and they will capitalise on it. Simples.

Can you imagine.......

If we are parking the bus and trying to break then duke is probably the most effective. He will win those headers that will stop the ball coming straight back at us and will chase relentlessly.
Five years ago perhaps. Did he get a touch the other night? We need people up the pitch who can hold the ball so it's not coming straight back all the time.

Nizz was built to play against Japan - just criminal he wasn't picked.

Popa out!
