Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Have you even read what I have typed in my last two posts.

You are either incredibly stupid or you are just willfully belligerent to everyone else’s words, regardless of their views.. The more you type in this forum the more I believe it is column A.
I think I've summarised your position accurately, you just said it.

Some people probably are but why victimise many more because of that and make it an unnecessary political issue that feeds hatred in the community?
Do you not understand why I find this view so f**king stupid and misogynist in the context of biological men pretending to be women and competing in biological women's sports? You're willing to let biological men compete against biological women because it "make it an unncessary political issue" at the expense of women losing to biological men.

So yes I'm being "willfully belligerent" to your retarded position.

I think it is more than the gender you were born with, it is your sex. The line should be XX and XY and in competition this should easily be tested.

that is the IOC position
There is still in some circumstances gender confusion at birth, even as a condition throughout life for some individuals.

As Paolo typed it is really blown out of proportion in the media and socials because of:
1. Ignorance and lack of education.
2. A deliberate ploy by those in power to have issues like this divide us, and to deflect the masses from real issues that continue to make them wealthier and wealthier.
3. Homophobia, both religion led and not religion led.

thats the happy clapper position

It is still an issue worthy of proper debate and consideration though, not just from the biological advantage point of view but more importantly the issue of a biological male occupying an intimate space like dressing rooms with biological females.

As the father of daughters I am not ok with either and that has nothing to do with any kind of phobia, just plain common sense.

But they are no longer men when they have transitioned.
They are no more likely to sexually assault anyone than you would.

So you are saying that all trans female athletes have had transitioninal surgery are you?

I highly doubt that is the case but even if it were, that still doesn’t negate the innate physical biological advantage they possess.

Hence my belief that the line should be XX or XY, something Spacks still managed to pick a fight with me with, even though I agreed with him.

Walk me through your position, you agree:

that xx and xy should be competing in different competitions but you also say

Some people probably are +opportunists+ but why victimise many more because of that and make it an unnecessary political issue that feeds hatred in the community?

I'm a little confused as to what you're saying in the 2nd portion of this statement. Many more what? Opportunists? Women? Tranny's?

Please clarify.

The overwhelming majority of the non-sporting transsexual community who want to live their lives in peace and happiness, without the marginalisation over-sensationalising this issue that subsequently occurs, and not to be tainted as possible sexual predators as has already been hinted at on this page.

Spot on red herring fallacy and a possible strawman!

  1. A Red Herring is when someone introduces an irrelevant or tangential issue to distract from the original topic.

We were talking about biological men competing against biological women in a women's competition.

Who's dumb now, you cheeky kent.

And at what point in any of my posts did I post that biological men should compete against women in women’s competitions?

You really are illiterate aren’t you?

You say XX vs XY is the standard for sports, GREAT fine, that’s your position, and it makes sense!
But why are you then dragging in this whole victimisation narrative?

You’re shifting the focus away from fairness to biological women in sports to how trans people are marginalised that’s a red herring.

The issue here isn’t about people’s feelings or politics, it’s about fairness in competition. Are you seriously suggesting that women should just accept losing to men who identify as women because it’s unnecessary political drama to oppose it? That’s exactly what you're doing, even if you don’t realise it.
