There is currently a press conference with the PM and Treasurer. The one thing that is obvious is that is that journalists covering this election not only don't understand what journalism is and secondly they don't understand the basic way the way the Australia style of government works.

Their level of 'civics' understanding is less than what I had in school.

Not sure - but it is relatively low. Was is worse though is that they not only don't do their primary job well, they has little to no understanding of the workings of government.

I know Lucy originally went to Narara Public School and I know she was keen to escape the Coast to the North Shore before being parachuted into the electorate previously. Did she actually move back to the electorate or just establish a residence for 'election purposes' while still maintaining her principal place of residence in Sydney?

This is not having a go at her (except when she was parachuted in) as she has obvious continuing connections to the Coast.

As an aside Kevin Rudd wanted to parachute Andrew Charlton (now MP for Parramatta) into Robertson in 2013 but Belinda Neal was chosen. (that went well!!) so both sides do it.

Dobell is pretty red so makes sense. It’s not a safe seat but it’s not that close either.
5% swing to Labor last election and don’t think it will change alot.

Same as most electorates don’t here boo until election time. I have never seen either side near me but i am on the south border so to far from there offices to run into them
