ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

. so i've seen the most likely to head for a cheeky maccas and a ciggy after a game (Tommy P)

. and now the most likely to be seen at the bar having a beer after the match with fans (Stewie P)

. i was expecting someone to throw up (pun partially intended): top 10 pie-eaters or something similar

The quality of broadcast camera's then compared to now is incredible. Any time you see footage from the mid-2000's, it now looks like it's from the bloody 90's.
Found its mainly that first preseason cup was shocking quality. Games were not telecast and just used for highlights. Most other videos I've source the quality has been decent and held up its own (so far!). Or maybe that is just a reflection of the poor quality of Paramount + these days!

The quality of the camera itself is better today, the amount of cameras and skill of the operators is another question.

Paramount is far, far worse than Fox in that regard, sometimes only having two cameras at the ground with normally one operated by someone clearly very inexperienced. Coupled with a clear lack of production crews sometimes it's depressing that coverage from nearly 20 years ago can at times be better if not for HD.

Later Fox and Paramount very similar as Fox cut back to only a couple of cameras

Yeah, Paramount/APL clearly copied Fox's dying days of broadcast for their production estimate, leading to a very basic production outside of the "marquee" fixtures.

I just want 4 cameras and I would be happy :headbounce:

The APL led broadcast scales up and down. The bigger fixtures do tend to have a good variety of angles and even decent production, but the P+ exclusive games vary dramatically.

We really shouldn’t downplay just how bad Foxtel was at the end,
