ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Do me a favour bolton!!  :tv:

No way - I'm not forking out 60 quid for a day out to see shite like last weekend again.  5-0 hammering please.  ;)

I think the real Man u will turn up this week.

Certainly hope so - I despise Bolton, so seeing them cop a hiding will be good as well.

lol, you hate everyone. ;D

Nooooooooooo - just Chelsea, Liverpool, Leeds, City, Bolton, Wigan, Sheffield United and Wednesday, Italy, Croatia, Uruguay...... that's a perfectly rational list.  :p

Arab - I looked up "Dundee United winning" but was met with a blank screen, and then the Internet crashed.  Good one.  ;)

Awww come on...
You are so holding out on your hatred and you know it.

14. Will show more hate towards other clubs to compensate for their glory hunter status.

;)

I'm not sure glory hunter is a very accurate description Arab...
It implies we are hunting for Glory...
Surely something like...

Glory havers... Glory keepers or some such would be more appropriate  :-*

erm, whoever's put that thing on the pitch is a dickhead, but in the event of outside agent interference (of any sort, streaker, beachball, a dog on the pitch etc.) it's meant to be a dropped ball, not play on...

Some kid who had already hit it on twice - the stewards subsequently gave it back to him.  *stifles laughter*

They blurred out his face on Match of the Day to 'protect' him or some such, but The Sun went right ahead and printed a ncie big magnified photo of him and asked people to phone in if they knew who he was.

turns out that the observer has put up a story that basically was exactly the same as my post before:

http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2009/oct/17/darren-bent-beachball-sunderland-liverpool

Was Darren Bent's beachball strike for Sunderland against Liverpool a valid goal?

The Observer's verdict on Darren Bent's strike during Sunderland's win over Liverpool

    * guardian.co.uk, Saturday 17 October 2009 21.56 BST

No it should have been a drop ball, awarded at the point where the football and the beachball made contact.

It's all about what impact the beachball had on play. In this case it clearly deflected the shot past the keeper: otherwise he could have made a save. So the moment the two balls made contact the beachball becomes an "outside agent" the same as a fan, a dog or any other unexpected arrival on the pitch that clearly changes the course of a game.

If the ball had simply struck the outside agent on its way into the net without changing direction or speed then the goal would stand the key here is that the outside agent has caused the ball to enter the net, by changing the course of its flight and distracting the keeper.

It was a tough call for the officials given Glen Johnson was sticking his foot out at the same time, but the goal should not have been given.

*nods*  Was on the side today (up top) - a bit different from last week, but no less awesome.  Old Trafford is very much like Suncorp in that the view is positively sensational no matter where you sit.

Still worried about Rio - whatever it is that's bothering him, he is clearly not over it and quite frankly, should be rested for Evans until he is sorted out.  Meanwhile, Berbatov is starting to show his true class, his first touch is nothing short of sublime.
