As an assistant fixtures officer at my club I am aware that the CCF had two alternatives last year. Either play the make up games at Pluim or cancel numerous games which would have not given a couple of my club's teams the oportunity to make the final four. Reason they were played at Pluim was the unavailability of alternate venues. Wyong council restrict hours grounds can be used and the management of Budgewoi Club will not allow games at their fields during the season which do not include a Budgewoi side. Nor will they allow night games even if Budgewoi is involved due to hooliganism. I am not rubbishing Budgewoi club management for their policy but just explaining the reason why Pluim was used so extensively.
Do not agree with what CCF do all the time but what they did last year to get as many games played as what they did was exceptional.
The condition of the fields was very poor but conditions were eqaul for both teams. Also if any other field had had the use Pluim had it would have been in same condition. Also how could CCF have put games at Budgewoi when all season they would not accept games which did not include their own teams?
The problem is this and other misplaced criticism of Pluim has led to some directors of CCF pushing for a radical alternative next year.
I will elaborate on what I have heard under a seperate post on this forum.
What club are you from?
You comment as if you know everything about Budgewoi? You also don't reveal which club you are from? Do you really know what you are talking about when it comes to Budgewoi? Your comments are general and overall, are correct, however there is alot Budgewoi has done and has put there hand up for that you don't know about and yes I am from Budgewoi. For me to comment on another club without knowing all the facts would be nieve.
I hope you don't become another one of these 1 post wonders, you concern me. ???
