The kiwis wanted to win this bad as was stated in the press prior to game. For them it was bigger than a friendly. The same as it was for the fringe Aussies who outplayed them in the second.

Pim should have troted out a complete second 11 and played a 1st 11 v 2nd 11 behind closed doors for match fitness.

Comes back to the completly wrong choice of opposition for this match.

Im sorry but pim nockers can pack their bags and F((( off home, granted that first half was woeful *Milligan*, but that second half i havent seen since Guus left the fold, It was fantastic to watch the young'ns moving like that, but to be fair, on the whites for bringing the game on straight up should have been 1-1, and that alst goal probably means lolman is on the plane. . .

Socceroos were dreadful.  The first 45 mins was like last Asian Cup campaign.

The most worrying thing was how bad Moore, Grella, Neil and even Cahill were.

Much better second half and Jedi really made a difference as did Beauchamp.

McDonald is useless.

Pim is stupid not to take Carle.

Culina ran sideways, played a neat 1-2 with Holman who was playing back to goal quite well in that instance, but dwelled to long on receiving it back and it was kicked off his foot.

I'm not a real Holman fac either, but to describe his goal as a 'tap-in' is somewhat unfair..... it was a nifty ball and a nicely taken finish, much as it pains me to say it

I would have taken Carle as apart from Kewell there is no quality in the final third. Carle gives you quality and a key to unlock tight defences.
I'd tip that if he had played 16 games as striker (not his normal possie) he would have scored several times.
I'm not saying that McDonald wont become a good international player but he's shite atm in the current team set up.
