ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

To counter that, it's an away match for both those teams.

If we played a CCM v MV match at Newcastle or Sydney, how many people do you think we'd get?

Granted, a small number of people will feel loyalty to the Storm through their CC youth affiliation.

Who really cares if the crowd for this match was 20 or 20 000?  It doesn't affect us either way.

Thats not a fair comparison. Both Sydney and Newcastle have their own A-League teams whilst the Central Coast does not have an NRL team. A better comparison would be to hold CCM vs MV in Wollongong. I reckon we would draw a reasonble crowd for that mid-season.

One of the guys I work with, hard core manly supporter, reckons that the coast will boycott NRL games here over the recent Cronulla farce, as 'we want our own NRL team".

you sure its boycotting ?? you sure it isnt because no one likes thugby league anymore on the coast  ;D ;)

If you read some of the Rugby League forums, they will tell you that the Central Coast is a League town. I dont know what the basis is for this. Football rego's outnumber the combined total of Union, League and AFL combined (quite easily) and was doing so well before the mariners came to town.

On the issue of crowds for nrl games, one day i would like to go to a league game at blue tongue with mates positioned stategically around the stadium. Then take similtaneous photos of the crowd midway through the first half. DO a crowd number count of the photos, and post it on the league forums just to cut through the NRL crowd number bullshit they seem to sling,

Unfortunately I cannot post in www.forums.rleague.com anymore. I got banned for firing missiles through carefully crafted posts rubbishing the game of league after 100 yrs of existance.
