Hmmmmmmm Adelaide play sexy football eh? Must have nodded off during that nanosecond.

All we can do is win our remaining games and see where we end up really.

A better SFC would have beaten them on Saturday and they were shit tonight. Maybe they are going to choke (again)

Full Time

1-0 to Melbourne

Adelaide was poor for the 2nd time in a week and with another 2 games within 8 days they may struggle in these games.

Melbourne was strong in midfield tonight and that was the key to victory. Adelaide was strong in defensive but their attck was poor and midfield was too predictable.

If Adelaide is to win the premiership they must take full points against Newcastle and Queensland.

Melbourne must take full points from Perth next week if they want to win the Premiership

Melbourne deserved winners, the f**kers.

Adelaide have been poor in their last three games and have only won twice in seven away from home this season.

They are rightly still odds on for a top two finish but if they keep this crap up they could possibly end up third or fourth. Funny how things can change so quickly.

Having said that, I still think they'll finish top two.

Adelaide United's away form is poor, not helped by poor tactics in away games- however, their home record is by far the best in the league and that's what keeps them up there.

True David, I'm comfortable having Adelaide at home last round. Will be an absolute blockbuster.

First or second for us is looking more unlikely than likely after tonight.

An interesting sidenote, we have exactly the same goals for and against as the tards but they have three more wins and four more points than us.

True but if we win the next 3 games we'll be in the top two and maybe even win the league.

If we can beat Queensland on Saturday the next game in Melbourne will be f**kin huuuuuuge!!!

Honestly, Melbourne would have to be the initial Australian entrant into "Club de Sexy Football Extraordanaire".  Amazing to watch.  I counted three long balls all game from them, and none of them worked, so they stopped doing it.  And on a surface that was quite possibly two steps below "beyond unacceptable".

Hernandez and Pondeljak >>>>>>>>> any other A-League midfield.  By a long way.

And the slow clap thing that the BWB does??

Considering that Adelaide have played something like 15 more games than everyone else since March, they are doing extremely well to be in the position they are.  However, tonight was the first time this season I've thought "hmmmmm, they look a bit tired".  Should be very interesting to see how that works for them through the rest of the season.

And to be fair, all the teams currently in the top 4 have played some real stinkers this season. That's the way the league goes, but it's not the consistency of awfulness served up by Sydney and Newcastle.
