Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Get a grip TB. They destroyed us at home 3.0. That was a big improvement.

I do expect the girls to do the business tomorrow though.

Izzy is still a few weeeks away though
The ineptitude ,the lack of courage ,the loss of cognitive function ,was beyond the italian army in africia .25k britions captured 250 k italians

We were that incompetent .it was f**king awful.

Your boy Dylan still was a bit suss with his passing out but i thought he commanded his box well and made some good saves. He deserved his 1pt.

Hopefully as his confidence grows he will improve into a decent keeper.
Definitely not “my boy” .. like you, I simply rate people who deserve and have earned it. I think he is doing plenty to solidify his starting spot.

That’s all.

Genuinely surprised by the negativity. This and the last game have been important games for us in terms of our improvement.

We were all over the shop before that.
In these last 2 games we:
* had an evident plan
* worked cohesively as a team
* improved in defence and in creating chances
* remained consistent for the whole game

This is much better than the handful of games before.
You don't go from crap to great in 1 game. You work hard, improve and build on that. That's what I'm seeing and I'm happy to see it.

Because we focused on structure and following our principles of play we sacrificed some speed and adventure going forward. But as we bed down this standard and the players get to know their roles in it properly we will get faster going forward, and become more creative.

It was a sound standard of play. If we build from there, make that the bare minimum benchmark of play expected and grow from there, we'll make the 6.

It's what I've been waiting to see and am pleased we've put in back to back 90 mins playing as a competent unit. It's the foundation you need to do well from, and it's the first time I've felt we're finally at that point this season.

Very positive performance for me.

did we improve or were the fire chickens a shadow of earlier in the season ?
i saw little progress .emes is tired , de lima is also lossing his edge with over use .
doka was ordinary , koul has improved ,but needs de lima to maintain pressure .
edo has lost his bottle .

both sides were worse than perf and the scum today .
it was abysmal.

You are talking shit mate.

Eymes is 16yo. At 16yo i could have played 5 hours per day, every day, for 1 month. He ain't tired he just needs a better player alongside him.
DeLima has played 4 games at an average of 55mins per game.
Doka was shite...because he is playing in a position that he is not good enough to play in.

We were not worse than Perth or Scum. Wellington are actually a decent side, far better than those two you mention. We didn't lose 3.0 because our novice keeper is improving and we defended much better.
Thats its bra.

Calm down and enjoy the girls game tomorrow.

I believe we have improved over last two games, and am seeing some gems buffing up

  • DPC - Giving him the MoM today with clean sheet in Wellington. Another brilliant decision to start him this season in my opinion, especially while Vukovich is here.
  • Paull - Hands down a deserved starter now. And who knew he had the moves!
  • Herrington covering for Sains. Considering we have long travel periods coming, and excluding of course that squeaky moment today.
  • Faisal - I want to see more. This week if possible, let him start.
  • 16 year olds! Unbelievable the finds we make. Excited to see the latest CCM talent debut.
  • Our movement out of a press works mostly now.
  • Our movement down the line is gelling, earlier crosses may help.

I think we are on the move up the ladder ,and still keeping the dream alive of seeing another magical night at home come June.

Pine is the most annoying of any announcer I know now. Had to get that out too

We literally move out from the back in only 1 way.

Unless we absolutely have to we don’t use Steele or Eames at all.

The plan is to draw and pass side to side until one side opens up enough for the wing back to have a little bit of space.

And every time Harry or Eames get the ball there is ZERO options so they don’t have much choice as the channels are blocked.

They don’t even present themselves when Kaltak etc have the ball, they literally walking knowing they are not meant to get the ball.

Makes it a bit obvious for the opposition!

I'm an idiot savant without the pesky savant bit
SO....that was a point
K1W1 commentators were trying to out do The Great One eyed Fred
DPC got a clean sheet and MoM
Faisal will be interesting to watch
everything else was same same like every second game

..so yeah

IMO we were flattered by the Nix (who are in their own slump) being a counter attacking side who sits back a lot. They didn’t get on the front foot or apply any relentless pressure, let us play forward even at the glacial pace we do. Neither side put significant pressure on the others weaknesses. Came across as a game both sides were more worried about losing than keen to win.

Agree, neither side deserved to win.
