ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Spot on. PTSD from the bad days!!!

I watched 3 seasons straight before I saw them win a game. Can’t go back there.
Hopefully the new owner realizes that's what he's up against. Expecting to sell for profit and be self sustainable is great but if selling off and not replacing with a similar quality leads to poor results it will hurt gate takings, metrics, community sentiment and future sales as players on poor teams typically dont get their chance to shine as much.

He's on holiday so missed that debacle.
In a league like this you need your recruitment to be spot on.
Early days but it doesn't look great.
Maybe try and tempt Ken out of retirement?

I'm trying to reserve judgement as it's early days, so far Tulio looks very average.
Tulio looked very promising when he came on.I think he’ll do ok,can he play as a 10?

I thought his passing was poor and he seemed to lose the ball a lot. Actually I might watch the game again tonight, might see something different on tv.

He did give the ball away a couple times kinda easily, but he was a positive for me. He wasn’t deterred and was an okay threat. Give him time and he’ll show his worth. A set piece threat too.
I hope he starts over beni this weekend.

I thought those corners he pinged straight at the 1st man were excellent :) I think Monty must do the corner training

The whole team was out of sync and had a shocker. Many players we know to be good, consistent players, were off their game. I'm not going to read into individual performances too much in that scenario.

We had a poor patch last season and came good. Odds are we're having a slow start but will build into things.

I think what worries me is that last seasons bad patch was more about conceding late goals and a few just unlucky errors. We weren’t actually playing badly. We were still a threat and defensively otherwise we were pretty solid.

What we watched on Sunday was absolute garbage.

There were, in fairness, patches last season where we were absolute garbage too. Perth away, the loss to Wellington early season, the 5-0 loss to Sydney at home… even the 1-1 draw with perth at home I seem to recall we were less than good.
Two games does not a season make. It’s not panic stations for me yet, but it’ll need a much more positive performance this weekend to stop my finger hovering ominously over the panic button.
