ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

In your eyes how does wearing a teams colours make you a better supporter then not wearing colours?
Wow, I credited you with more intelligence than that FM. Lets try one small point and then you might get the idea. How about, when the Mariners run on the field they can see a sea of yellow which clearly shows support.

Now, surely it doesn't take too much intelligence to extend "the Mariners" to "other fans" to "TV audiences" to "coaching staff" to "management" to "opposition supporters" etc etc etc. Its a bloody simple concept really. If we all failed to wear colours, it would look as shite as the photos above and that actually proves the point. Who the hell would know who those fans are supporting?

I mean maybe Keensy could've done what Skilly did and wear his Spurs (or in Skil's case Celtic) top under his Mariners jersey, but to blow up at him the way some people are on here is pathetic.

You reap what you sow BJ. Keensy is pretty good at dishing it out but seems to be having a bit of trouble taking it.
LOL, i think you are a bad judge of character
Right back at you buddy.
when have i judged anyones character in here?
You just did when you said "you are a bad judge of character".

Football fans like to do this thing called singing + they are in the away fans are.
Of course i understand the visual aspect of all wearing the colours and at times yes it does look good.
What i want to know though is why if somebody chooses not to wear the colours it makes them any less of a supporter (especially in this case where the fan payed a fair amount of cash to travel nearly 1000km away to follow his team)

Can't resist one more.

Well, I guess unlike Bear, I don't think its actually to do with your own committment (albeit in other countries where your life is in danger then of course it takes more committment). I think its more to do with representing your team of choice to others. To be honest, it probably doesn't matter too much if one person wears a Tottenham shirt but, if we all started doing it, it would really suck. I can't understand why you wouldn't wear a Mariners shirt to a Mariners game. I don't particularly like yellow clothes, but I love the Mariners so I don't give a shit about being a fashion blunder when its a Mariners shirt.  Mariners >>>>>>>> fashion

so again. You wearing your mariners shirt makes you a better supporter then anyone else no matter how committed they are through memberships, travel etc?

narrow minded to brand all mariners fans who wear colours as better then the ones who dont....especially as each supporter is different and show their support in different ways.

Ah well, this has been my serious topic of discussion for the week

Keensy - wear colors, or don't wear colors.  We all know you're a f*cking idiot anyway, so quite frankly, 'whatever'.

Not to mention you're a Spurs fan.  LOL!!!!  (and before you brand me a bandwagoner or what-the-f**k-ever you try and insult me with, I've been to Manchester.  I have family from there.  So don't even bother yourself with that argument)

I'm actually not so concerned with the apparent lack of colours as I am that on Sunday night it was about 5-10 minutes before any chants started at our end. Very unlike us.

Thankyou for your contribution. Although i am shattered that you have this opinion of me as i deeply care as to whether you or anybody else on here likes me....i was hoping to make friends with you all ;)

p.s Bear he is talking about the silence for majority of game (lol at singing 'oh its all gone quiet over there" to roar fans who were much louder all game)

FMD, I waded through 3 pages of this shit???

Can we at least agree that the thing that is the most annoying and wanky thing to do is to go to a game wearing a scarf/shirt of another "Australian" team?? (Bling are the v worst for doing this at say us v scum at BT) or wearing club colours to an international??

I am seriously thinking of going to see the scums next defeat and wont wear my Mariners colours.

Again - it was so helpful of you to stand up and inspire us with your white-shirted presence into belting out so many tunes......

Have you watched the replay on Fox??  Noted that after the third goal, you can hear us for a solid 10 minutes straight doing a _whole_ bunch of chants.  Are we not up to your standards of what a fan is because we didn't rip flares and ruck on with the opposition??  Of course not.  *rolls eyes*

12 000-odd Roar fans versus 60 - 80 odd of us....... simple physics demonstrates that of course they're going to be louder.  Again, your peanut of a brain isn't able to comprehend this, so I'll let you drift along in that stupor of a state you like to call "contributing constructively to the forum".

P.S.  Greenpole - see you there.  I always love cheering on Melbourne against Newcastle - without colors I might add.  :p
