ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Remember this:
1989/90:
Liverpool 9 Crystal Palace 0
then...
Crystal Palace 4 Liverpool 3 in the FA Cup semi-final

1967/68:
West Brom 2 Everton 6
then...
West Brom 1 Everton 0 in the FA Cup Final

Moral of the story is...

Tough build-up for Adelaide. Return to the site of a humiliating defeat 2 weeks ago and a more humiliating GF loss 2 years ago.

If they give Melbourne 54% possession, 21 shots and 11-1 corners, might give the a-league record losing margin a bit of a shake.

Still, 3rd Asian campaign - one being a glorious one, getting a premiership and as far as GF twice and PF once in 4 seasons - I'd take it.

Crowd 8,472

A reaction to the "pissant town"?
But happily means we've relinquished the unwanted 'lowest ever A-League Finals Series crowd' record after only 2 weeks

Qld did a passable impression of us, disjointed, effortless and simply shit.

Whilst a wonder goal, Adelaide won by being slightly less shit. (LOL @ Nicholls).

If they play like that next week, Tommy will get his medal

Beat me to it. Very Mariners like performance from The Roar. Mid field went missing, inane long balls. Nichols the Kwasnik performance of the season touches of brilliance that resulted in shit.

I think the problem is a 'pissant' competition, which unfortunately will never be anything more than ordinary when most of the best players keep leaving for overseas. Never was that more apparant than when Jedinak went OS and the impact that had on the Mariners. It's something that the AFL doesnt have to worry about at all and hence why its is such a strong and well supported code. Unfortunately Verbeek and Wilson were mostly right. However, its the best football (soccer) comp we've got and I'll continue to support it.

Droppin' the truth bombs, I like it.  Don't be saying Wilson was right though, that article was rubbish on a whole other level.
