ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

How tf is Fornaroli allowed to play for Victory? He would’ve been registered with Perth, no? How can he suddenly be registered to play for Vuck in the same league when there’s not been a transfer window or anything? Bloke literally just got his contract terminated outside a transfer window, how tf is he eligible to play before January?

The injury replacement rules allow it.

That’s ridiculous, you surely can’t play for two teams in the same league without a transfer window ahaha. His contract with Perth was terminated, surely his registration with them doesn’t expire until January though.

When your contract is terminated you are unregistered. Free to sign with someone else with a spot free in their squad.
We used that rule to sign Aloi$i

How hard is it to get var right? There should be very few grey moments and if it's too hard to call then it's not for the var!

If we had the same var dude as last night then we get a penalty in Wollongong for the hand ball. The Nani penalty absolute disgrace. This sport is becoming so hard to watch.

It’s a bit of a problem football has made for itself. The contact was pretty decent, if Nani drops right away nobody questions it. But you don’t get the foul if you don’t react. The way he went about it was a joke though.

Yeah it was difficult to watch those decisions, I feel there is a real push for the big clubs to do well at the expense of others to improve crowds. You just have too look at how many pens City, SFC and now Victory have at round 5.

The thing is that last call didn’t help anyone, didn’t matter to the outcome and nobody was asking for it to be given. VAR just injected itself in the game. Technically it was a handball sure but you could easily let it go.

Games are on YouTube and 10 play this weekend. The Apple issue continues today. Still on P+ for those not affected and FTA for the usual games.

There are studies showing that bigger teams (especially at home) get more decisions. They reckon its a subconcious bias by refs due to crowd noise etc.
This is a massive issue in the EPL too
I'm fairly sure those studies also show that it's not all calls that fall to this bias. It's almost always the big calls like cards, penalties and goal scoring moments. Funny thing is that VAR hasn't changed this subconscious bias. If VAR is going to remain a thing which it obviously is, with the technology available to this current age I'd love to see VAR officiated by other league's. French VAR team sitting in judgement of English games German for Spanish etc etc.
