Because then the attacking team would have at least one free, unmarked man in the box. All sorts of tricky moves could then be devised.

They dont mark at corners anyway anymore as they play a zonal defensive system where they all have areas to defend not players. That annoys me too....

I dont think they have had a shot on goal. They are leading the foul count however.
