ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

NYE double header vs Cold Hearted Killers

Much improved second half against a second to third string City side, Theo and especially Wilson had an impact. When we actually competed against them and not just sit back with the 5 at back we were more than a match. Hopefully that spells the end of the 5 at the back system.

My MoM:
3 Nathan Paull
2 Alfie McCalmont
1 Mikael Doka

A real arm wrestle in the first half.No shots at goal by us in the first half and two by them, including the header which resulted in a goal.More energy in the second half and Wilson and to an extent Theo pressed well. Wilson hit a cracking shot resulting in a good save by Beach

Great to see Paull scoring and he had a good game.Sains needs another 2-3 games to show us his wares.

First half the players looked totally lost with a new formation 5 2 2 1.

It turned out being 7 defenders and 3 lost forwards and the usual toothless attack was replaced by no attack.

No one knew what their role was… yet again.

Brandtman, Doka and Kuol, may have well not played. Seven defenders playing against ten attackers.

Jackson moving Doka to left wing back was a necessary move which allowed him to get in the game and gave us some decent attack. Both he and Storm both then played higher. Our left side with Doka and Harris then caused City a lot of angst.

Kaltak looked more comfortable in the centre of defence but was still worryingly threatened a couple of times by City’s press and got in trouble. It was good to see Trent get more minutes in his legs. It is vital he finds form and fitness quickly.

Paul is gaining in confidence and looking better every game, as is Alfie who is covering a lot more ground.

Wilson ran around a lot and had a solid shot blocked. Maybe if I watch the replay I may see more.

There are still too many round pegs in square holes. Hopefully Jacko with all his shuffling is learning and starting to work out what fits where. At present the light at the end of the tunnel is still not visible.

Hopefully January becomes an interesting month. If not the NPL starts in February.

However wilson 🤫 is one of the best strikers of the ball we have.

His problem is dribbling and passing. He was trash there later with Storm but he at least brought much needed energy and a few really good strikes.

Credit where it’s due
He's got a very good shot on him and he's pretty big and physical. That's all though.
