ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

In his defence he inherited a dumpster fire at MK.

I'll give him a chance but he won't have alot of rope, he's inhereted a great team..
Absolutely they were probably already likely to get relogated when he joined them

MJ’s birthday is this Saturday. Hopefully the corks will be popping in Gosford. Who knows - maybe he’ll turn out to be a great gift for the Mariners.

Some of the reactions around the place are a bit dramatic. I’m interested to see what he can do with the squad but if he doesn’t put up a solid run in Asia as well as at least being in or damn close to the top 6 by finals the obvious question will be whether Cahn should have got a shot. Let’s hope it doesn’t haunt us.

Where 2 of the 6 games he won were against the worst side in the league?
Ugly and effective I can happily live with.
Ugly and losing would be a disaster.
All that GF goodwill just pissed away
Not trying to be argumentive, it may have seemed that way sorry. Was a genuine question.
I agree, if he isn’t the right choice… last season is totally evaporated in the memories of alot of people.
But in reality, his coaching journey is not too different from Monty’s. Only difference being he’s had 1 senior gig already.
He’s quoted as saying his philosophy is front foot dominate football. I’ll hold him to his word for that. He has no choice but he committed to youth, here.

This is probably going to piss Ben Cahn fans off….
Yes, on paper given his history with the club. Ben was a great candidate. His NPL track record is good and all. But would those Ben Cahn fans put their mortgages on a guarantee that he would be a success and continue the upward trajectory? No. No one would. No one would do the same for this new bloke, whom we know nothing genuine about except a few interviews and articles. And that’s the point.
But is this new blokes resume as a youth coach better? Yes. Would he have better connections in the UK for potential visa signings that Ben? Most likely. I’d say yes off face value. Have we seen this new blokes tactical philosophy on paper? No.
We’ve seen he set a team up to desperately fight relegation in a shit league.
Ben Cahn didn’t get the job. Move on.
Back this bloke until he proves we shouldn’t.
We can predict it’ll be a shit fight all we want (based off one bad gig at f**king MK Dons who were always getting relegated) but who’s to say it’ll turn out that way.

The instant hate is bemusing.

Called beaten dog syndrome.

Old mate Mark has to win us haters over. He gets 15 rounds. Clocks ticking Mark.
