ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

He is not signed in the squad I believe Rod, possible injury cover for...

Unavailable: Tim McGOWAN (leg - season) ???

Not a good result considering we played with the maximum allowed of "4 OA: Over Age" players and Adelaide only fielded Valkanis and Younnis.

half time down 2-0

sean mitchell hit a cracker from thirty yards that hit the cross bar

mrdja and valkanis are having a great tussle

Bet Stringers is at the back, he looked "less than convincing" last week

stringers didn't play - on bench for first game

lost it in the midfield - we have excellent ball players but no mile-like enforcer and workhorse

CCMFC youth team = fail

CCMFC youth team is perhaps the youngest.
They may lose every game this season.
I wouldn't mind at all. As long as they are developing.
If they won the league despite their youthy youthness then I would be well impressed.

Am really disappointed in mariners not signing more local kids. Surely there are local kids that are worthy of a spot  but then Alex Tobin does live in Sydney and only scouted games in Sydney.I know a lot of local kids that are p____ ed off that they didn't get a chance to even trial. Looks like they have turned their backs on the local youth & womens team players and those local players have every right to feel let down.

So after all that time looking at the kids in the development squad and Browny's knowledge of the local game, they went to Sydney.

You think that might say something about the quality of the coaching/development from CCF??

If we are getting pumped with the best players in Sydney we could find, imagine how badly we would be getting pumped if the Central Coast's best players were picked. If they were playing for Lightning, then they would have been given many many chances to impress, Lawrie and Tobin go to most of those games. Fact is if Lawrie and Tobin thought they were good enough, they would be there.

Footballtragic: I'll have you know that CCM were looking at a number of locals who got injured and with the rules if they signed them they'd have to keep them for the full season and can only replace with players from the AIS which would mean the logistical nightmare of flying them from and to Canberra each week. As bear says, if they were good enough they'd be there.
