ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

League Match Day Operations Manual
4.28 The decision to cancel a match will be made by FFA in consultation with the affected clubs
4.29 A cancelled match will be recorded as a goalless draw
4.38 No match may be rescheduled a third time

4.28 Of course MV was going to go along with it when consulted but I can't believe that the Mariners agreed with this ridiculous decision.
4.29 That's not FIFA rules, that's FFA rules and most certainly made up on Sunday to screw up the Mariners.
4.38 Since when? Most probably since Sunday.

Our NYL team is equal first on points with one game to be played. All the other teams played 18 games except MV and CCM.The game should be reschedule and played. If not, both teams should be joint champions. In my eyes CCM youth are as much first as MV. Goals difference should not come into it when the draw says that there is still one game and 3 pts available for the take that will decide the real champions. If I was a member of the ccm youth team I will be devastated to find out that I was robbed of the opportunity to play the 18th game and the chance of winning the comp on the pitch ( not at FFA ). So F#####G UNBELIVEABLE !!

That sucks big time. It is a disgrace and I hope we dont hear that CCM knuckled under in agreement with the FFA decision but have hit the bloody roof with a letter of disgust to the FFA. What a rort. All I can say Melbourne Victory were 1) scared to play us and 2) desperate for a trophy for their cabinet.

I wonder if in the hypothetical situation where Jest were on 37 points instead of 31, and MV and CCM were 36 points, if the game would have been rescheduled. Surely they wouldn't have crowned a champion where 2 teams had played fewer games than the crowned champion. Seems like a bit of a cop out from the powers that be. But then again , there's little to know commercial value to the NYL so FFA couldn't care less who is declared winners.

If they had rescheduled the match against their own regulations then the opposing team may well have legal recourse - and potentially the result would be nullified anyway. I wonder if the reason for the ruling is to minimise the costs to teams of repeatedly flying around the youth team and not getting a match in? If so, surely there are better ways this can be dealt with? Find another field somewhere in the state, and play the match the next day, put something like that into the regulations?

It's an appalling, embarrassing state of affairs that the league championship was decided by 'default' (the two worst words in the English language.....), but it seems like it's something we're stuck with this season.

I feel for the lads who deserved that chance to take the crown...but, without playing that match, MV were the better team over the course of the season.

So I am right in saying that the Mariners youth intake includes the whole of Western NSW pretty much, as well as Coasties and any kid that wants to head north of the F3 instead of stay in Sydney, right?

Point is, this 2-2 draw means good things in that capital building of football ventures out west is paying off. Good for us and good for Western NSW football.

Patrick has announced the squad which has seven Academy players in it. Anyone have thoughts and opinions on this group of young players?

What did your last slave die of?

You could at least ask nicely, at which point you would be politely told that the website doesn't have anything up yet, and had you stretched your fingers you would have found the info very quickly.

My last slave died after a bit of back chat (they won't make that mistake again), neat little presentation on how to do it, nice bit of smartarse with still what you asked. Very clever. While I try not to talk to my slaves to much since when has please not been considered nicely.
