Over-age numbers vary but others may be OK. This is the only list I have (from R8):

1. Andrew REDMAYNE (gk), 2. Nathan SHERLOCK (19. Dylan MACALLISTER +89' (Sherlock injured)), 3. Brad PORTER, 6. Manny GIANNAROS, 8. David D'APUZZO 10. Panagiotis NIKAS (c), 11. Matthew LEWIS, 12. Andrew CLARK OA, (7. Brendan GRIFFIN +60') 14. Brady SMITH, 18. Ahmad ELRICH OA, (17. David GULLO 60') 19. Dylan MACALLISTER OA (9. Gavin FORBES +60')

Substitutes not used: 20. Matthew Ryan (rgk)

. umm does that say that macallister was on the pitch twice?

. is that allowed for the kiddies games?

We really should have won that one. I agree with the lack of cohesion. Especially in the second half, we just couldn't get the momentum.

Impressed with Redders, Huke, Sherlock and Lewis.

Where was Panni?

Pretty much a similar performance to last night TBH.

No cohesion, no shape. Very poor from what is a very good side.

Sherlock is showing he can step into Boogs role, Huke? I think we can do better TBH.

Lewis at LB in 2nd half was interesting too.

2 awful games running. quality

Funny the mariners are a beach/seaside team however we always appear the team struggling with the heat?
Some of the younger players show nice skills but need time and some others you can see will make handy premier league players.
Mitchell Mallia is one of the younger ones with good skills(no great skills) maybe trying to do a bit too much with the ball.
Big spaces in Midfield

Yeah me and a mate noticed that about Mallia. Many times he chose to go the hard way or turn his man when someone was free and calling for the ball, notably Lewis. Needs to learn to pass.

won 5-2, good game. Mjdra, D-mac, Huke and Crowell were the 4 overage players that played, with crowell and huke the only players that were playing as if they actually wanted their spot back. IMO panny didnt have the best of games, but that could be because he had crowell right next him. out of the younger players, Fitzy, sherlock, manny, lewis showed that our future is in good hands. Lastly, looks like the mariners staff are training matty lewis up to replace heff, a few reasons, he started at LB and when the substitutes came on which were Adam Ormsby and Luka Dukic, he stayed at LB and the two others played at RM and striker.

2-1 Mariners. Brady and Panny (penalty) with the goals.

Mariners earned a very dodgey penalty in the 86th minute when the Melbourne supposedly brought down Macallister.

Cant see what the penalty was for, looked more like a push on the keeper TBH.

Dmac did well for the 1st but butchered 2x 1 on 1's.

Panni was good, Fitzgerald and Brady too.

some of these kids must be hammering on the door of the 1st team surely?

Need injury cover deals to break through really. I've been thinking the same about 3 of our NYL side this year, but we seem to have just 1-2 players out each week at most. Guys like Kofi and Gan got runs for us last year due to a shocking injury list - this year Ramsay and Munro don't have that in their favour.

Given our massive problems at RB, Sherlock must be getting very close.

As he is an organiser and natural leader, maybe its too much competition?

according to lawries twitter, smith and sherlock are training with the first team, which might not mean they get chosen to play, but still the youth team is getting the recognition they deserve. also good to see the numbers rising in youth players training with the senior, it now would stand at least 4.
