Why is the Politics thread closed? I blocked content from two extreme idiots so that I could read and contribute to the civil exchange of ideas. Differing ideas are important in a democracy and its good to see what others are thinking. A forum like this allows those ideas to be tested. The alternative is insular echo chambers feeding back on themselves where people think that they must have the right assessment as everyone in them agrees. If people here get abusive, we can block their content, or there may be a way for a moderator to block their access to that forum for a defined time until they get their acts together. It was one of the most interesting threads on the site. Can you open it up again please ADZ?

Interesting but i think it needs a cool down period. Those two had stopped others from contributing because you couldn’t find anything worth talking about between the ramblings.

I haven’t missed it and didn’t know it was closed.

Like an idiot I only read it because it shows as an unread thread in black and I like it clear so i know i haven’t missed anything 😂.

Hmm, I think the cool down period applies to just those two. Blocking their content {which I did] or a moderator blocking their access would be better solutions IMHO

Fair enough but not sure if the program can block them just from one thread type thing.

They were definitely out of hand.

in that case a warning followed by blocking them completely [yellow card then a red]
