STAR Sydney FC midfielder Juninho was today ruled out of A-League action until after Christmas after scans revealed a chipped shin bone suffered in last week's exhibition match against LA Galaxy.

Coach John Kosmina had been hoping the Brazilian playmaker would be recovered in time for tomorrow night's crucial A-League match with Newcastle Jets but the scans showed the injury was worse than first thought.

Juninho picked up the injury as a result of a crunching tackle from LA Galaxy player Kevin Harmse at Telstra Stadium nine days ago.

aaaannnnnnddddddddd as I said, I cant see him missing the game, I think they will rush him back in. Anyone can talk shit and say someone is out, if it comes down to the crunch, they will play him. Chipped bone, pfft.

Who knows what Kossie is planning... But IF they made the finals they would surely want him around for that, they might not risk him for the 22nd. But I guess if they dont make it, then they are stuck anyway, so they probably will play him, if he is up for it.

IMO if sydney lose this week, they will probably rush the little one straight back into the starting side as they will be getting desperate for the 3 points leading into the finals

BTW zadkovich WILL miss the match with the mariners:

Zadkovich was sent off for a tackle on Adam Griffiths in Saturday's 1-0 win over Newcastle Jets.

He will miss Sydney FC's home clash with Perth and the rescheduled match against league leaders Central Coast Mariners.

If Juninho is fit he will play this game... Of that there's no doubt.

I just don't think he'll be fit. And I don't think it will matter so much as we'll beat Perth this week and the last few weeks of the season (esp QLD away) are equally crucial.

He will probably be injured again for the finals so sydney should probably try and get as much use out of him as possible

I was there last night and I saw how you were gonna beat Perth? hahahaha...... If Sydney plays like that next saturday, don't bother turning up!

Never like playing a team after they came off and unexpected flogging, teams always come out and try a little harder in the next game.

Sydney have a few more problems than I think can be fixed in a week, defensively at least.
Just listening to Kossies press conference he remarked Bolton couldnt kick and if he knew that he wouldnt have played. If that is the case maybe he wont play this week .I think Necevski is their second kepper?

Fish, given defense is a major problem for them, as was discussed on another thread, why did they Rudan go ? ! !

So they could get a transfer fee.

No chance this one will have sold out yet. Very little chance of it selling out at all.

This kind of spells danger. Kossie will in his style been thrashing the guys after their loss to Perth. There going to come out fired up, needing the points and probably with a new line up possible 2nd keeper. I can see a replay of the Sydney game after they got kossie. Saying that we have a fully fit squad hopefully???? and we will be pumped for a home game after 2 aways.
15000 - 15500 due to school holidays

i'm pretty sure the only mariners players that will be unavailable are nik mjdra and matty osman with boogs coming back into the side

in saying that :

danny

clarky  wilko  boogs  heff

            jedi

owens/hutch                    kwassy/hutch
                      tommy/hutch

      johnny  sasho

bench: trotty,  stringers,  simon,  owens/tommy/kwassy/hutch

crowd:  17 068

mariners to win 2-1
sasho and matty simon to score for the mariners and popovic to score for bling

BTW grecquemariner i doubt that juninho will even play
