ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

I was impressed with the speed and aggression of Faisel. I think with a bit of work having him playing off Alou might be a useful combination. I’d also like to see DPC release the ball quicker to feed that pairing. i’m not sure if ive ever seen him kick a ball from his hands…

I remember he made that huge blunder against Sydney in the Australia Cup down in Wollongong. we were so close to a win and he coughed up the ball with silly play and the rest is history. Maybe he was never forgiven 🤔
Yes. This was what was said in the chat. Lost the ball playing silly buggers either it on the halfway line instead of taking it to the corner. Was not forgiven and didn’t seem to be quite the same after that. Sure as hell looks to be a fine player now and did before that Sydney match.

Our loss, I feel.

At the time we had an abundance of quality youth and players with potential too far down the pecking order were being let go.

I guess we didn't predict that we'd sell so many and be able to recruit so few.
Players like Bayliss and Hammond would be getting a run now and probably be starters

Hammond left with Cristo IIRC.
Wasn't going to start ahead of Max,Nizz,Tapp and Steele.
Ditto Bayliss (who I would have kept anyway)
Sad fact is we should have had these kids as cheap squaddies in place of, say. Wilson.
Short termism because of finances and no loan system.
Using the NPL as a loan farm makes logical sense
