I know the collective IQ on here is Newcastle style more and more these days!! Are the collective new age Scummers (those that actually attend games can comment) actually suggesting that any other coach would have kept us as competitive with our squad this year that Jacko has?
I dont want to waste too much breath because the same idiots also slagged of Monty and Arnie.
Our squad was gutted and not funded.....Jacko has done a remarkable job after being hung out to dry.

He made us fit and organized. 2 things we clearly aren't this season
Sadly, Jacko got his recruiting wrong. He may not get the chance to fix it as there is already some tension over future funding by all accounts.
He got very lucky with the squad he inherited and his replacements have been poor.
Feijao? Like seriously? Alfie needs better players around him.
Edmo? The odd spark but not up to this level. I think like most Poms he underestimated this league and is paying for it.

Yeah clearly the consensus from British coaches coming into our league is that we're at best cellar dweller League One standard.

They then recruit to that standard and get shocked that their terrible journeymen poms get shown up.

Seems like laziness and confirmation bias seems to cause it. There's now been dozens of coaches who have shown you can get cheap, good quality visa players if you put some effort in.
