Mariner stuff not worthy of a whole thread

Just went back through and saw this discussion started because it was mentioned in here that the club actually did send an email to members that a couple of GA bays are being reserved for Polytec guests (I didn’t get the email, but I’ve not received member emails this year and that’s on me for not following that up). That settles that then. Communication, tick.

I definitely see and understand both sides of the coin, but honestly the worst part about it is I’m losing my car space in the stadium for the weekend. Won’t someone think of the poor stadium announcer. Now instead of heading straight home after the game, there’s a high likelihood I get detoured via CCLC. It’s just awful. I hear they have a sports bar and cold beer.

If you want your seat every week buy a gold or platinum membership.

I have six gold memberships under cover to be comfortable when it rains. People still have a go when I kick them out of those seats.

General admission is just that, general admission.

Having part of my seating area carved out probably would annoy me if I was still GA...upgrade sorted that and I love having an allocated seat, well worth the money.

There's no way the club can afford to pass up the opportunity of selling that many tickets.

Bloody great idea to get new fans and they get their friends to come as well. Brilliant idea...but like Stuart I hope these weren't freebies. I would guess this might have been part of the sponsorship deal...not quite freebies but in the ballpark.

Now if any of them turn up in scum colours...

For what it is worth (outrageous 'service' fee!) I purchased an extra GA for a friend to join us, and got an email this morning from ticketek telling me of the seating changes None from the club so far but that is not unusual I find. 🤷‍♂️

Not ideal, but thankfully the good folk here often communicate to others of things like this

Ditto. They keep going to one of my sons despite assurances they have “fixed” the issue.
