ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Mariner stuff not worthy of a whole thread

When you purchase a GA ticket you have no seat only restrictions where you can sit. GA does not entitle you to diddly squat as you have to be prepared to sit where ever you can. That’s the risk. I don’t think it needs to be communicated to what 2% of ticket holders. We get what 6k to a regular game, won’t it be nice to have what appears to be a full stadium for our local derby. Big picture people.

This is where the club can pick up on the engagement part of things.

GA isn't sit where you can - it's find a seat within this limited set area. If that set area is going to be reduced or modified in some way, then it's good practice to get out in front of it and let people know.

How hard would it be to send an email saying " we have a large group booking. In order to allow this group to sit together we have allocated them bay #x. This section will not be available for members on the day and they will need to locate in one of the remaining GA bays".

I don't get that people find it so unreasonable that the club doesn't tell us every little detail but are against communication of changes to the seating areas. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Thats a great solution and a customer centric company would do this. Sadly, right now, CCM arent customer centric.
Mind you - not all of the people complaining will be members either. Dont dismiss the "I go to 3 games and want to sit where I want" crowd

This is a little step that the club can actively do to show MC is genuine about re-engagement with fans.

I'm not worried about the fly by night crowd, but I know a number of families who all sit together in that section of the stadium at every game.

They will cope with moving but it would be nice if the club gave a heads up.

Far out - there’s something to complain about with every decision. On one hand there are constant complaints about having no money, not engaging with central coast businesses, and not doing enough to get new faces to matches to try and grow our supporter base.

Then we sign the biggest sponsorship deal in the clubs history, a local business with over 500 local employees, and as a staff incentive they are all invited with families to a match… bringing a big group of new faces to the stadium, and now there are complaints they are taking up GA seating.

That will do me.

The amount of negative comments about negative comments is a joke. As someone pointed out, when stadium tickets moved member seats this was an allowable issue because you paid a few more dollars. Get over yourselves and stop being arrogant. I already cannot sit in my bay this season because of a stupid banner. Now you want me to move again because this area is no longer GA. If someone gets in before us fine, but you can't blanket areas out that are GA. Will the club compensate these GA members. This will lead to less memberships from disgruntled (and clearly unappreciated from people's comments on here) fans.

Not trying to incite a riot but back in the day the eastern side in question was no GA! It's just common sense, your seat is being used by the club for some reason and its not like the GA sections are at capacity! Could be a bit like a parking spot in the street you've parked in for years but is now a no parking zone. We go to matches to support our team, it shouldn't matter where you sit

It actually is like a neighbour has cordoned off the parking spot in the street so you can't park there. The bays aren't being rezoned as reserved seating on a permanent basis.

As I keep saying, this isnt a seating issue - it's a fan engagement/communication issue.

People on here are bent out of shape about the club not telling them about the private medical details of a player (waah Alfie injury, waah MDP injury) but don't see this as a potential stress point for the members who sit there on a regular basis (or more accurately don't care because it's not their regular seat).

Block off a gold or platinum bay for the sponsors if it's not an issue and let those members "just sit where they can" and let's see how small an issue it is 🤷🏻‍♂️.

Slow news week huh.

I had council doing plumbing remediation works along my street for several weeks. Meant I couldn’t park out the front of my house a couple of times and had to park a few houses down. It was a slight inconvenience, but I didn’t mind as the contractors actually came and knocked on my door and said “hey, not sure if you’re aware, but this is happening - would you mind moving your car for today?”. No worries boss. Want a cuppa?

Absolutely agree the club should send out some comms to GA members about this (if it’s something that’s actually happening, I’ve not heard anything about it outside this forum).

. which is why i am more annoyed with the ACLE seating ... which was sold as GA without knowing the restrictions and it was for more than one game

. not only is there no upper deck ... when i did arrive early wary of the impending ACL weather the top of the bays were blocked off by security
This really pissed me off as well, I complained to the venue manager and the stadium management and to their credit they took responsibility and admitted way more people showed up than expected and it got rectified for the next game.

Small details but we are bored but it’s not just GA. There are levels to GA.
There is Navy GA who sit in those exact seats and pay more the privilege than the yellow GA.
So there is expectation that if you are a Navy GA member your section be available.
Loosing it to someone beating you to first in first served is fine as long as they have the same privileges as you but a whole corporate section whipping that out will cause issues. Especially since there is no communication of it (if it exists - i haven’t seen the email posted here)

It’s a great chance to promote the sponsorship all week saying it will be so exciting to have them bring x amount of fans and it will be a big crowd so get in early for your seat so watching the women is a great idea type thing. Then people who know might explain it to people who don’t know when they turn up.

Basically the club could be turning something great and positive into shit and frustrate members if they don’t do it right.

The answer machine messages will be full on Monday so don’t bother ringing 😂
