ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Mariner stuff not worthy of a whole thread

Had the absolute pleasure of visiting Brian’s village last Friday. I met his dad Timothy, his sister Lalau and his extended family. Old man was so nice and pleased to see us. He even went back inside to change into his Mariners shirt.

I saw his football ground which was full of kids playing and got a Mariners chant up. I met the President of Brian’s club and we bought some former jerseys to support the club.

We gave a heap of Mariners hats to the kids.

Then at lunch somewhere else this gentleman started talking to me about the Mariners and how proud they were of Brian and how he is an inspiration for the children of their nation. Turns out he was the Trade Minister for Vanuatu and a former player. He said when he was playing they beat the Socceroos 2-1. I gave him a CCM Fans stubby holder.

Such a wonderful day.

All season I've been recording all our home games to see how are crowds are compared to last season and they have certainly improved. In the mens competition our average in the regular season was only 7250 which is below the 10,000 target the club wants weekly. However, we have been stitched up a lot this season, a mixture of poor scheduling with early kick offs in extreme heat, crazy rain and wind storms, and games recsheduled has really impacted on the amount coming through the gates. Next season if we aren't averaging above 8000 weekly there is a serious problem with our supporters, and I'm hoping round 1 can be at home in prime time so we can start the year off with a bang. Please correct me if any information in the table below is false.

I don't know if it is false but I have also collected the crowds for much the same reason. I have not done it as it happened but relied on reports.

According to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2023–24_AFC_Cup_group_stage the first AFC game was 4037 and the game against Odisha was 2674.

Does it bother anyone that the champions 23 and now the champions 24 shirt are both our current kit? I was keen to pick up the 24 edition but don’t need another kit I already have.
