I'll be a bit disappointed if they don't turn up... considering that I have to spend more than 24 hours in Sydney and then Drive to Gosford on Saturday morning.

I don't think he'll get cited, if you are referring to the nice little sidekick he gave a Melbourne player as he challenged. He got a yellow for that and the matter was 'dealt with on the field'.

to some extent, it is -

9.23 Where FFA in its sole and absolute discretion believes:
(a) that a Referee has made an Obvious Error; and
(b) a failure to remedy the Obvious Error would be prejudicial to the interests or good image of football in Australia,
FFA may issue to the Participant a Disciplinary Notice that:
(c) includes reasonable details of the alleged Offence; and
(d) refers the matter to the Disciplinary Committee for hearing to determine what, if any, sanction should be imposed in accordance with these Regulations.

They'll only act if it looks like the ref seriously screwed up, basically.  Considering there wasn't a great deal of force behind it, they'll probably give Breeze the benefit of the doubt.

fairweather newcastle fans and no excuse for the crowd last night - perfect weather, preferred friday night game and against sydney, who looked like they brought 2-3K

did anyone see the pre-game show? i guess the newcastle attitude was summed up by the fan interviewed who he would not turn up next game if newcastle do not win

hold off until our next home game before laying it on too thickly - crowd numbers generally are pretty soft at the moment, and newcastle's 11k is a lot better than sydney's 11k.

the only difference is their form and scummers, whether being league or football, are notorious fair weather supporters

The FFA regulations I quoted were only introduced this season.  Largely as a result of the sackwhack.

Victory are appealing the red card given to Fabiano, not the extra weeks (as was expected to happen).

Melbourne Victory on behalf of player Ney Fabiano, this morning lodged an Obvious error (red card) application with FFA, as permitted under the Hyundai A-League Disciplinary Regulations, clause 9.2.

The application has been lodged after reviewing the broadcast footage from all angles from Friday nights game vs Adelaide United and speaking with Ney Fabiano about the incident.

As the application is now with FFA, and subject to the disciplinary processes, Melbourne Victory is unable to make any further comment about the incident at this time.
