ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Cannot believe Fury's management handling of this ... shows some inexperience... Obviously coach and player have an issue... Why they did not say Flower has a score back or caught the flu bad and will be out for a week... call them both in on Monday and sort it out... then sell his contract if they must...

As it where they have painted Flower as a spoilt  child not getting his own way...

Presumably Fergie had to show that he was in charge and no man is bigger than the team.

If it makes fowler harden up then that is great. It isnt like fergie is a no one.

Seems every player has to earn their spot and someone has earned Fowlers. Will be interesting to see how this story pans out.

Ferguson and Fowler committed to Fury

North Queensland Fury FC Chairman Don Matheson is pleased Coach Ian Ferguson and captain Robbie Fowler have agreed to stay committed to the club for the duration of their contracts.

Mr Matheson met with both men today to talk through what hes termed a misunderstanding between coach and captain which meant Fowler didnt play against the Brisbane Roar in Round 24 of the Hyundai A-League 2009/10 Season.

Ive spoken to them today and realise there has been a misunderstanding Ian wanted to play a particular formation and that included utilising Robbie as an impact player off the bench and Robbie believed he wasnt part of the squad and there has been an unfortunate outcome because of that misunderstanding, The Fury Chairman said.

Weve sorted that out and there is now a clear commitment from both Ian and Robbie to try to win our three remaining matches of the season, starting with the Newcastle Jets this weekend.

The club apologises to the fans here in the North and across the competition for whats happened, but moving forward I am happy that weve been able to resolve this in the best interests of the club and the game.

Robbie is getting pretty tired of the speculation that he will be leaving North Queensland Fury FC. He is not leaving the club.

He and his family have made some sacrifices for him to play for North Queensland as have all the players and hes happy with his decision.
