Is there a way to join two Xbox consoles via ethernet, both with Fifa 09 in them, and play each other through that without connecting to Xbox live?

I know this can be done with Halo, but couldn't work it out on Fifa 09.

Mmmm not sure. Wouldn't is be just as easy to use one television though? Its not like H3 where you have different POV. I note though that you can't link via LIVE and play on the same team against the computer... NAFF!

That's me in my Be a Pro career. Striker, captain of UCB...Irish team, also captain of the Soceroos. Have scored over 200 goals in my caree thus far...did 1 season with the Mariners, then got bought by this Irish team.

Confirmed that it can't be done sadly. Tried it out of curiosity on the weekend.

On another note, had a FIFA tourney with some mates on Saturday. Each player had to pick an A-League team. You would play one round against eachother and then everyone could pick any player from around the world to add to your squad, with the winner of the previous round getting first pick. I of course chose the Mariners and after winning the first round, put Ronaldo into attacking midfielder. As each round progressed, we added more players to the squad. It was awesome having Ronaldo feed Petrovski and so on.

"Search for local only".  Single greatest reason why COD5 >>>>> COD4 online.  Should be a compulsory option for all games that have an online component.
