Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

FIFA 08

So, the great battle of FIFA 08 between myself and Serious continued last night, when my mighty West Ham destroyed the pathetic Manchested United 5-1. But wait, there is more....

In what world would poor old Gretna of Scotland dream of having a 3-3 draw with England? Oh yeah, FIFA world

Serious, you need some more practice mate  :pirashoot:

mate if you go into negotiation history you will see how happy they are with your offer, some players also want short contracts or big trasfer fees not always big pay checks..your negotiator should also be upgraded as this helps bring talent to your club... the clean sheat and goal scoring % thing is a 5,10,15 % increase in their pay for that game if they score a goal or keep a clean sheet respectivly...hope that helps you

Also, dont try to re-sign players during the year, if you wait till the end/start of the next year, it will bring up all the players that are off contract, and it will give you the option to re-sign who you want, but without having to negociate, as it dose it automaticly. Most easy

Iv never had them decline at the end of a season. It just comes up with a box, you tick it if you want to re-sign them, they seem to always sign automaticly

Dunno on the money thing. You can set your ticket prices to high which will give you more cash, but might make the crown angry, dunno, I always leave it on medium

But what if i already tried to resign someone during the season and he declined it can i still resign him later on at the end of the season??

how do you change the ticket price?

the easiest way to make money is to sign good free agents offer them max offers and sell them straight away...can often make millions of dollars...

when you dont renew ppls contracts at the end of the year they auto renew and you decide if you want to keep them or not but the contracts are the players call so may end up payin them alot per game but a good way to keep ppl..make sure you have enough money in your account and end of year to renew all the off contract players tho

Press R2 and go down the bottom to where it says status.
It will say Available for transfer, loan, any, or free agent.
pick free agent and a whole list comes up..
then just sign them

::) Not EVERY player off contract will sign for you, its not an automatic thing. Lampard is off contract with Chelsea soon, dose not mean he will sign with the Mariners just cos we ask him to. Get it?

May I suggest the song "dig a hole" for you?  ;)

im guessing ur playing on ps2/ps3 so i have no idea abou the controls or anythung like that but i'll do my best here to help you out

to change ticket prices (on 360) you go into staff upgrades and should see that you can change between low, medium and high

with your negotitations, players will decline if they don't see you as prestigious enough and will demand big contracts to stay. to counteract this you need to go into staff upgrades and upgrade your negotiator to a higher level as this will in turn allow you to resign more players at reduced fees and and contracts (sometimes half the amount)

what club are you playing as???

because say you're a league 1 team you wont be able to sign a player rated in the 80/90s off the free transfer list because just in real life you cant expect them to want to move to a club like that...however once again as you build ur reputation and upgrade your scout/negotiator you will be able to bring better talent to your club

i suggest to try and resign players through the season beacause if you leave it till the end when you get alist and you check or uncheck who you want to keep, the salries they request are usually much much hogher than their current deals whereas if you sign them throughout the season you can usually keep it about the same and sometimes even less

and yes you can try resigning them after they have rejected a new contract, you just have to wait around a month or so until the cross disappears next to them in contract renewal and then you can offer a new improved one again
