Bouncers are dickheads. My friend had her drink spiked at a club in Sydney, and when the bouncers found her, one of them proceeded to grab her breasts as a joke...just as her friend came over and found them.
I know bouncers dont become bouncers because they are intellectual giants, but jez thats f**ked.

Trademark boss Mim Salvato today ridiculed the media slurs on Tim Cahill - and said the Socceroo was welcome back at his bar any time.
Sydney's Daily Terrorgraph has been running a week-long smear campaign on the Australia star, alleging he had a night of "disgrace" and "shame" at the Kings Cross bar last week.

It even ran claims today that he had been banned from returning to the high class nightspot, with anonymous quotes allegedly from a club bouncer saying: "He's not welcome back."

But the owner of the bar today said: "We love Tim Cahill and he's always welcome here as our guest. He's a national hero who has taken us to the World Cup.

"They've blown it out of all proportion. I don't know what they are going on about. I don't want Tim to look like a bad guy. It was just a simple misunderstanding."

Borrowed from AEK210 and marqeleven over at sfcu.com.au:

"Police only became involved after the media phoned them."

"If you remember, Neil Breen based his WHOLE argument with Alan Jones on the fact that something must have happened because police attended. If anything has blown the lid on what a bucket load of shit this story (beat up) has been, it is this very fact."

So Terrorgraph, where's that front page apology??  Anytime soon??  At least have the decency to admit that you lied, and then sack Breen and anyone else involved.  Get rid of Rothfield whilst you're there (for an executive sports editor, he is ludicrously biased).

This is the media group that accused Plod fans of robbing corpses at Hillsborough, later admitted they made it up and the editor concerned said he would do it again.

Dont hold your breath waiting for them to say sorry.

Mrs Soccer: "My parting advice to Rebecca is this: With your looks, your leathery face and ironed-on hair, not to say your god awful nasal twang, try not to spend 16 days of the next televised Olympics sitting beside the ravishing Sonia Kruger. Not good for the career."

Hi all, I have been following this 'story' for the past week and thank god I won't see one of these grubs out, I might just end up in lock up. That would make a good story 'Football fan bashes sports editor for BS'ing' more shame on Australian soccer.....we should cancel the World Cup......have two RL ones instead.....dumb c**ts.

Loved Alan Jones for the first time in my life. That f#$kwit Breen couldn't defend the indefensible.

The week leading into this the usual Football journo Tom Smithies disappeared from the paper. Funny that. Ben English the 'sports editor' then starts the ball rolling with the bitter and twisted attack suddenly becoming a Football journo. Then that f$#king grub Phil Rothfield joins in with his usual shit. During the week the sh*trag then has Football journo's coming from everywhere including on d%$khead Nick whatever who wrote "that we goaled twice" against Bahrain. Must be a huge fan with extensive knowledge of the game..ha. Now we have the mysterious bouncer that nobody knows in a pathetic attempt to avoid litigation and humiliation. I think there's a good chance the bouncer either does'nt exist or was paid by the Tele and perhaps the NRL to say such sh%t. I wonder how keen he would be to go to court on the issue.

I think the FFA should take legal action if possible along side any action that Tim may choose to launch against the Tele for damage to the games reputation ,future earnings....I'm sure a lawyer would think of things. I also hope that knowing that our game will be held up immensely by the disgusting smears of the media and the Tele in particular It would be in Football's interests to invest in media stocks and wipe these f&^king grubs out of journalism. Lowry's got a few spare bucks and the Russian billionaire who bought Sydney might be interested in securing growth in his investment also.

OK finished my rant.........not quite. You can comment on the articles written in the Tele and I would love to see every Football fan in the country flood the tele and these journo in particular with comments as I and a lot of others have this week. Make their blogs on Football and NRL unworkable in protest. Mind you only 1 of 20 get posted so judging by the 140 comments on today's BS thousands have been already.

F#$king C*&ts tried to destroy one of the best couple of weeks of Football for a good while.

Salvato - who went to the same Bexley school as Cahill - revealed Tim had celebrated the success of World Cup qualification with him at the bar on Wednesday night without any incident.

But when Cahill returned the following night without Salvato, a junior manager at the bar insisted strict Australian drinking laws meant bar staff were unable to serve him.

"If you look even slightly intoxicated, we are not allowed to serve you," explained Salvato. "Tim didn't understand this because he lives in England where you can drink as much as you like."

The situation became heated when the doorman intervened.

Salvato added: "The doorman got his knickers in a knot. We don't employ the doormen directly, we use a security company and no-one knew who he was.

"He certainly doesn't speak for Trademark. He had no right to talk about this. If he had a personal issue with Tim, that's his personal issue."

He added: "It was a nothing incident that should never have happened. Tim was just partying and then left. No punches were thrown and nothing else happened. There was no 'disgrace' or 'shame'.

"Police only became involved after the media phoned them. They came down, looked at the CCTV video, saw there was nothing to investigate and that was it.

"The Terrorgraph got it way out of line and I don't understand why they have been doing this."

Radio host Alan Jones took Terrorgraph editor Neil Breen to task over the newspaper's handling of the story and today again praised the Socceroo hero who scored our first ever goal in the World Cup and gave Australia victory over Japan with a brace of goals on Wednesday night.

Talking about the Terrorgraph in an email to a fan, he said: "I'm just sick and tired of these people. They assassinate all of us.

"I don't mind what they say about me, but some of these people have to be brought to a heel. I've had it for years. I don't see why others should have to endure it."

He added: "You will not find a greater sportsman or human being than Timmy Cahill."

Former Socceroo goalkeeper Mark Bosnich also joined the debate after the game on Japan, branding those responsible for the story as "scum".

I think the highlighted parts of that story basically told the truth..... just a gut feeling.

Media rang Police ,mmmm? Mr. Breen or whoever rang the Police should be facing charges of being a public nuisance as it sounds like a crank call. Was the call direct to 000, if so, maybe a playing of the recording?

Please, pretty please, can we get a confirm or deny quote from the NSW Police? (Although I suspect these guys are just as entrenched in the 'RL is King in this town' mentality - have been for years. So I doubt someone official from the coppers will bother helping 'wogball').

As for that bouncer's story, I too would be very reluctant to go outside 'for a chat' after hearing about folks suddenly falling down stairs or getting mugged by some heavies 50 m from the club - conveniently out of CCTV range.

The times I have been asked to leave when a part of a rowdy mob, or being too drunk, I have been taken aside by the senior crowd control guy and told to go home - not invited outside for a chat - and even offered by them to ring a cab for me.

Any bouncer worth his salt would realise that using the words 'let's go outside for a chat' could be misinterpreted by someone intoxicated as an invite to settle things with fists.
