Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

This is my fav quote.

"Next week it will be 10 vs 10.

Melbourne will get their customary sending off, and we'll have Aloisi."

Gets better:

we have a few players who arent giving a hundred percent. simply not getting involved enough...i.e. aloisi-he is a c&%t and should go and die

No-one should be surprised Aloisi hasn't been able to score for Sydney yet. Remember when he played for us last year and was scoring goals he was surrounded by quality. Not now.

it's a "Dear John" letter from Sydney FC... and the comments after it seem to be along teh lines of......
"Hopefully Muscat snaps Aloisi's leg off in the box next week.

* Corica converts the penalty to win.
* Muscat red carded & then banned for many games
* We'll be rid of Aloisi for the season

Think about it. Deep down we all want it to happen"........

we definitely got the better deal by "losing out" to Sydney.....  :eek:verhead:

Just saw the ladder and we are 4th on goal difference, they are 3rd. We lost to Wellington at home, our manager has shown no imagination or creativity, we have Osman, We could be second last at the end of next week.

I'd rather be in Sydney's position just quietly...

The Dear John letter is quite brilliant - repeated here in full

Dear John,

I dont know how to break it to you, but its over. Ive had enough. When we first
got together I was swept off my feet by your carefully crafted reputation and your
equally carefully crafted hair. After all, you were the scorer of that penalty, you
were a man of the world, been there, done that, and youd even shown that you
still had what at least some of what it took, leading that gang of hacks from up
the coast to a final.

Well, here we are, we've been together for more than eight games, that's more
than a third of my season, and the reality is far different. I should have guessed
as soon as you failed to show up for pre-season. It was embarrassing,
everyone wanted to meet you and instead of being there for me, you were
lying on a treatment table getting a rubdown from some foreign sounding guy
called Joe.

You promised me the world, bigger crowds, lots of goals and plenty of media
attention, like a fool I believed you, and you took so much from me while you
were making those promises. You promised me a RING, John. And now look at
us, we can barely be civil to each other, youre so lazy, you act like you dont
care about me any more, if you ever did. You never close your eyes any more
when you head the ball, and theres no effort there like before in your
partnerships. Youre trying hard not to show it, but Johnny, Johnny I know it,
youve lost your football talent. yes, your football talent, now it's gone, gone,
gone You stand in between defenders and wave your arms as if youre in a
scoring position, then get all moody when nobody passes you the ball. It's the
moodiness and  the not talking that makes me mad

Didnt you realise that something was wrong when you saw that Terry McFlynn
has more shots on target, more assists and more goals than you? Or when
Adam Casey replaced you and showed more industry and effort in 17 minutes
than youve shown all season. This is Adam Casey were talking about, from
the under 12s? I cant stand it anymore John, its just not worth it, you exhaust
me, its just a pity that you dont try hard enough to exhaust yourself. I think its
best that we both just try to move on.

Please dont make this any harder than it already is, everyone I know is
laughing at me for being such a fool over you. My so-called friends are lining up
to say I told you so even that yellow tart that you were with before me.

Goodbye John

Love, Sydney FC

How many games now & no goals, John?
Did they sign him for TWO years?lol
I have no qualms against the man, John Aloisi, he was tremendous for what he did with our fans and especially the kids. I saw him many times sign a lot of autographs and was nothing but gracious with his time.
But professionally, it would seem the move to the bright light of Blingsville is not turning out a happy move. Maybe he should be reviewing all the advice that he got at the time, and I'd suspect that there's at least someone from our side of the fence who may have warned him about his advancing age and real value to a squad.

I think so and also is it true that Bozza is training with them and not going to LA is Kosie worried about Bolton's injury does anyone know can they sign him as a guest player also?

Bozza will give them alot more than aloisi. Maybe even a decent crowd...

I doubt, considering they've signed Filan, that they'll sign up Bozza.

I could end up eating my words but.

Filan is their goalkeeper coach, but was on bench as cover on the weekend.

hmmm...if Bozza goes to Sydney it will be hard to take but nothing personal
he is a professional- he has to go where he is wanted and we dont want him (which he seems not offended by at all). IMO a good move for Sydney- way better than Bolton- and good pulling power maybe.

with $1.4 million in the bank i'm sure he is not too unhappy.
