Thank f**k for that. Rowdy egging on Paul to play with a back three is worse than me doing the same to Tony over a 442 with The Snake and Heff 2.0 up front.
Seriously, we have an abundance of both midfield talent + speed out-wide that would suit playing with a back 3.
The options for various positions are quite diverse.
Would you not like to see
both DDS & Junior on the pitch
at the same time ?
.... those silky skills on ball, playing in tandem alongside each other ???
- A back 3 is the only formation that
could facillitate that.
Back 3:
---------- Golec ---------- Baro --------------- Rose
----------- Brama ------- (DM) ------- Hiriaj
-- RWB --- DDS -- (AM) -- Jnr/Hoole ---- LWB
--------------------------- Asdrúbal (Strkr)
All options seeded left to right (imo)
Back 3 options:
Rowles, Jnr, Ashcroft, McGing
DM options:
Jnr, Mcging, Ashcroft, Berry
AM options:
Hoole, Powell -- late subs/Appiah, Pain, Bingham, Buhagiar
Striker options:
Bingham, Hoole, Buhagiar, Powell
The WB's are primarily attack minded players who drop to help cover in defense but isn't their main focus, as you have one of the DM's drop 'first' to make & complete your 'back 4'
If Matthew Leckie or Robbie Kruse can be considered for the position of a WB
....... THEN SO CAN ANY of these CCM players;
*An engine ....player must have an engine to get up and down their flank.
RWB options:
Appiah, Roux, Buhagiar, Hoole, Powell
LWB options:
Pain, Rose, Hoole, Bingham, Powell
I actually think both Josh Rose and Storm Roux would thrive as opposing sided WB's, substitute them at 55-65 min mark with any of the other options, or vice versa bring either of them on at around that stage of a game.
The other sub being either one of the AM's or the Striker, if goals/&/or shake-up needed.
