ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

* With poor attendance and viewership across the league generally, where do we think the league is heading over next couple of years if hypothetically covid was non existent?
(As far as success/growth or slow failure)

* Has anybody anywhere reached out or heard anything from Paramount about functions for playback, pause, rewind of games?

* Saw a women’s game article that Phonix women couldn’t even get a response from FA about replacing goal keeper under exceptional circumstances.

Both the FA and Independent league seem to be pretty inept at getting together and making decisions either independently or together.

What do we think the future looks like of decision making when it comes to the crunch of Football in Australia?

Players and clubs are held accountable and the rules can’t be bent or extenuating circumstances basically don’t exist.

What can we do as players / clubs to hold FA and league accountable?

The Phoenix women’s didn’t even get a call or email back, no response at all.

Even if a rule is put on them to make a decision on a specific request with a 24/48h time frame, give them a time crunch and earn their pay.

Can you discuss whether you think there is an inherent bias towards stronger teams.

Example 1 - Rowles and Tilio - outside box but awarded as a penalty
Example 2 - Leckie on Lewis - clear foul in the box.

On both occasions the decision went with the 'stronger team'. The onus is then on the VAR to prove a clear and obvious error. Surely then VAR is just cementing an already (subconscious) bias towards the stronger teams.

Unless and until refereeing is done in a purely unbiased way then I think VAR is only reinforcing bad refereeing with the added downside of affecting the flow and excitement of the game

the team needed to walk off .extreme action is needed .or we'll get arse raped , again .as soon as it suits the FFA or bookmakers
Yep, next time and we know there will be against us they just need to collectively walk off the field. That will give them some good headlines.

A walk off would lead to extreme repercussions and the team that walked off would be punished massively and be left without a leg to stand on. It could possibly destroy the Club just to make a point.

I actually think it would have done the opposite last night. Would have made worldwide news, embarrassed the new organisation and forced some sort of meaningful change.
